Not for me apparently, and I cannot even flash it (Mario&Luigi) beause it's too big for my MK3 flash memory(256Mbit).

I think he means directly off the SD instead of off the MK3 internal flash. I tried this one trimmed with the trimmer from the menu 0.2 release and it seems fine off MK3 512's internal flash.

A question for the developpers of the menu ...

Is the any way the flashing process to the inner memory of the mk could be a little more faster ? And if so, is the any plan on working on that for new menu ?

For now large roms take quite some time to flash and the whole flashing process looks to be taking a large bite into the battery ;)

I also would like to just buy the MK3 512. Heh, I should have waited 2 months b4 I dropped $160 on the MK3 64m 32zip 1gig SD.

Eh eh eh and i though i was smart to buy only the Mk3 !!! Should have wait a little more time ...

It cost me around 75 for the 256M key as standalone ...  now that the 512M is out i feel the urge to get it ... i still need to figure out if the keit includes the slimloader for that new neo-key cart.

I guess i could sell my mk3 256 and buy the new kit.

I heard that the mk3 included with the neomax flashes more slowly than the standalone versions.  Assuming I'm correct there, I would think they could improve the flashing speeds, at least with the mk3 128M

I would rather see these work than to be really fast at sucking.  Judging by these reports, the mk3 still doesn't work.

The 512 is probably a waste too, since the DS carts can supposedly reach up to 2 gigabits.  So there are bound to be games you still can't play.

MK3 2006 512M & 1G versions were announced. The 512 is currently being sold (most likely because it is the same PCB as the MK3 2005 512M)

The MK3 2006 512 I have in hand works great, the same as the MK3 2005 512 I have here as well. There is still a ways to go on the software, but what does work, works as it should.

i had that to, maybe your friend is not using a neoflash product but som stinky other product, just as that dude i know does, he wouldn't listen to me

and is ther must diference between playing games from your neoflash cart or internal flash memory? cause i have the mk3 that was with the neomax 1 gb package and i can just load only the smallest roms to it.

sven: the MK3 that came with NeoMax has 16MBytes of flash space (128Mbit) and that is the limit of what you will be able to flash to it.

Most noteably, things run from the MK3 internal flash rarely are incompatible, since the MK3 flash acts like a DS game would, it requires less to no software patching to make it work from somewhere else (like the GBA slot) that it was not origionally made to work from.
