FAT lib with MK2/3 MM support and MoonShell on MK2/3

Chishm's latest FAT library/driver (2006-02-09) now includes Magic Key 2 and 3 MMC/SD access! (note that the SCSD device is not working in that version as of now) A mirror for the 2006-02-09 file can be found here for registered forum members.

Infantile Paralysiser has wasted no time and has added Magic Key 2 and 3 support to MoonShell, the latest test build can be found  here - MoonShell 0.992 test4.

A ready made version using a skin found on Infantile's site, called BlueMoonLight can be downloaded by forum members here (See included Readme for notes on touchscreen)

A basic guide by cory1492 to setup MoonShell from the official package can be found here.

Thanks Chishm for the updated drivers and thanks Infantile Paralysiser for the addition of yet another device to your already excellent application! Thanks NeoFlash (from Chishm) for releasing the code to make the FAT driver work out!

cory,you rock.ive been working on running moonshell for a couple of days(weeks),and i pretty much had it current,but it took most of my free time.a lot of people will benefit from this.im guessing that Chishm's latest FAT library/driver is even more important,but i know(and want to know)nothing about that.thanks

woowww... this is a big step for MK2/3....i can't wait to test it.... Smiley

Now the MK2/3 only needs a faster direct read speed from the SD/MMC... it would be perfect.

Essentially, it's a library for Homebrew developers that allows them to more easily add support for FAT based devices (such as the SD cards you plug into the MK3) to their software.
Moonshell is a multimedia player. Previously, only specific versions were supported with the MK3 because of the inability for it to read the SD cart (meaning it wasn't very useful). However, now new versions support the MK3 directly meaning you should in theory be able to load it up using the MK3 and read music and such from your SD card.

At least, that's what I think, I could be wrong.

yeah, that's very well stated so everyone can understand...  I didn't know what it was before when I first saw it, so that's a good question/answer
