GameBox-DS

GameBoxDS is a gamepack that contains 4 games: DS4, PingMine, DSFlower and Reverso.

Games:
--------
   - PingMine: a mix between a MineSweeper and a labyrinth.
Help Marcel the pingouin to go to its igloo without falling in a hole.
But there is a deep fog and the pingouin just know how many holes are around him.
Put a flag where you think there's a hole, by pressing [A] + the direction pad.
      5 levels of difficulty.

   - DS4: a "Power4" game. Play versus the AI (15 levels of difficulty) and just try to align 4 pieces of your colour in a 7x6 grid.

   - DSFlower: catch all the falling flowers before they touch the floor or you will loose a life.
But be carefull, there are more and more flowers on the screen that are falling more and more quickly.
And don't catch the the wrong flowers ;^)

   - Reverso: A grid of 3x3 white or black pieces. The aim is to turn all the pieces from black to white.
Touch a piece to return it (this will return some of is neighbours too).
At start, there is a minimal number of pieces to be returned before to win. Try to win in this minimal number.
You can be helped in your choice by the AI of the game.

How to play?
----------------
In the start page, turn the cube with the direction PAD and press [X] or [Select] to start the selected game.

Each game has its own about page that explains how to play.
To access this page, just click on the "?" icon on the bottom right of the bottom screen in the menu page of the game.

---------------

The game cannot be emulated on PC because of the 3D (but on Ensata, but with a low framerate), but it works perfectly well on DS :)

---------------

I joined to archives:
  • the first contains the .ds.gba and .nds files
  • and the second contains the file for flashcarts (just the .ds.gba file renammed to .nds)

No.
I posted previous versions on the PlayerAdvance.org and PALib.com websites, but that's all ( plus mine, of course ;) )
May be you saw an old version on another website... :)

ok this time i test ur game and its nice... also the gfx is nice and seemed to be not stoolen. So for my opinion ur game has more points then a few others i had tested. Ok that rpg is more complex... But i realy think from disign site u have investigated much more time. So that is respect worth too

because the most here have no idea what in a game actually is coded and what is painted. They dont have a feeling for that. I mean they see some secredofmana like graphics and they think its hard work. actually its more hard to get that char doesnt run trough the walls. So if the graphics are right they dont take care of bugs. But inluding tiles for sprites and bgs is done by some small functions and a handy converter. i dont have to tell. i just want to say if gfx is right it doesnt matter that u could run through the walls. but second one much complicater....So dont be set up. U got a good bugfree game and i know doing that is more complex then just a ... ahh lets stop that u know what i mean and i know the worth of ur project. in my project i used just 2-3 bgs no gfx more. The rest is done by a renderscene. even the font. But they also dont see that.

And i dont have to say that actually a AI is not easy. But a battle where enemy takes one of more attacks by a randomnumber...heheh

im not a coder so i cant really judge that part but it was quite fun, DSflower was my favorite, propably more fun on hardware tho hehe.

Calle_: Do you know that you are the fird guy how prefer DSFlower than PingMine ;)  Depending of the emulator, DSFlower is more or less fun because of the speed.

Payk: Your game is fun too. I like the idea to use the stylus to play Tetris :)

Effectively, an AI (for the Reverso game or for the DS4 game) is a little more complicated than a random number ;^P, but I don't mind if gamer could see that or not. The most important thing is that people want to play our games and have fun with them.
I think it is the case for your game, and it is the case for my game for some people (that's what they said, but may be they said that to make me happy ;^P )

hehe sure and that stylumode... hehe its not like i wanted first (that control i made las day). normaly i wanted when stylus is outside it gets the angle and ratates analogic to it. but strangely i had that probs with cos/sin. the values it spitts out where useless. hehhe but i often have done same just vice versa. For example a clock. i got that point in the midddle the anger for that arrow and the size of arrow. so hours/12*360.... so i actually thought it should be easy after some hours of trys i had to make that like its now... and now its just nice idea but not an good alternate...
