Then i'm impressed! ;D
It's hard to find people who write thier own code and HW-talking code, good job!

Your game is nice, btw. Too bad it doesn't work on GBAMP :(

Show me one game entry which didn't use PAlib and i'll shut up (except mine ofcourse)

Our entry doesn't use PALib nor NDSlib all code is my own.

mine doesn't use PALib either (in fact I didn't know about it until this messages), however it uses libnds. the file system functions are mine too (ported from old pocket pc code)

??? Peace! it's supposed to be a friendly compo, there's no need to start arguing  :)

Hi!
First of all,I really have no business here, most of you on this thread seem to be coders and the like, and I can only dream of doing the things that ANY of you are doing.
I'm working on it(learning to code)and actually making a little()progress.

Whatever method is used, you have all taken an idea from your head, and translated it to an electronic medium, for public consumption.

WOW.WOW.
Acting like(or being)a noob don't bother me at all.
WOW.

My opinion-No one here should criticize anyone else, because you all can do something that MOST of us only dreamed about as teen-agers,and gave up on,intimidated and beaten.(I realize some of the entries are from teen-agers-My 11 yo is more technically sound than I am,it seems)

You should all be proud to have brought your visions to light.

Sorry to be so :D.It's just how I feel.

Wow, give LiraNuna a break.  I'm not as impressed knowing the artwork is hijacked but it still excellent work.  I'm sure RPG Maker doesn't output source code for DS.  The code has a few bugs . . . but overall seems very polished to me.  Understand creation of fresh artwork for an RPG would keep a small team of people very busy.  I'm a software engineer and I know for a fact it would not be "simple" to recreate a fully functional RPG, even 2D. I've played enough games in my life to know clever code alone does not make a quality game.  Deapth and compleatness make a quality game.  Also, eye candy does matter.  Guessing that most of the contest entries are relatively young, I applaud all of you.  ;)

Those graphics were free to download and use...

And I'll say it again - The code is fully mine!

But CuTrIx is the best 3D game of the compo.
I would agree if he say its best tetris game... but on the 3D aspect mine is a bit better i think. On full lines they explode and rotating cubes flying through ur screen... Also mine is stepless and gives a very floating 3D optic... and if u hit A-Button on ur game the cube is "rotated" in same moment. mine rotates float, too.(and thats good because u will see if stone fits with that angle but on ur game u dont know how it rotates...it has different rot-points which makes it a bit unhandy...) so just on 3D-scene site i think mine is best correct me if i am wrong...

Hey stop despairing Payk :p
This vote is only here to help the judges to make a decision. So if your tetris is really the best, then it will win anyways ^^
[Edit] LiraNuna> IMHO using PA_Lib is not a shame. Using the right tool to do the right job is important. For example, if you code anything by yourself but your game is bugged, or give up after a certain point because you're discouraged, then I think you'd have better used PA_Lib ^^

I dont think is best one. It has bugs there are other games which are bugfree. And also there are more complex games..

Hehe funny thing about pa_lib... My Opinion is that pa is much more handyer then ndslib. But not easier... Sure there are commands nds dont have. But they are easy to doiturself and u can make that commands how u need them. Its just more work with ndslib not harder and not easier. Its just hard to find a startpoint but after writing some functions u will use ur own commands and ur working away from standard functions. So at begin ndslib is harder but after some days it makes no difference anymore (but rom will be much smaller and faster without palib). But anyway u can say what u want a project coded with ndslib is MORE work then with palib. U dont need to set up rambanks make interrupts between 2 cpus... With Palib u got a allmost ready to use GFXengine. But my favor is a own engine. I want to set up rambanks because i know how much memory sprites should have. Palib doesnt know what ur going to dev. So it cant be perfect for that. But i know what i expect from my project so i can set up hardware in that way i am going to need. And thats the big thing...
