My Passcard 3 wouldn't boot my EZ4 Lite or my FA Pro 256 GBA cart, but the MK4-mini did the job.

Also, if I don't patch a rom to save to the GBA cart, will all flash carts find the save game in the MK4-Mini?  I guess it's not the cart that finds it, but the game itself.

perfectly under GBA mode means the GBA Flash Carts that have NDS Roms on them.

Hi All -

I've been keeping my eye out keenly on the release of the mk4. I have one question though - i own an XG2Turbo card 512M (the manufacture date is late 2004) and this card is the older type where you use the GBA to write roms directly onto the cart via the usb cable (linker).

After researching around, it seems like this cart cannot write in 'single rom' mode (ie. to run NDS homebrew/games) and the menu loader is always present. This i understand is a big problem for the current passme's out there as they need to just run the DS rom and not another menu loader from the GBA cart.

Will the mk4 be compatible to allow DS roms to run off this card? Will the standard menu loader from my cart allow multiple DS roms?

I don't have my mk4-mini yet to be 100% certain.  However, I doubt you will be able to run nds roms using that particular flashcart (assuming you can't disable the boot loader)

The mk4-mini patching software may only allow flashing of a single rom at a time (don't know for certain until it's actually released)

Maybe you might want to wait for the mk4 SD to be released.  That may possibly not require a gba flashcart at all..

Yes i have tested it putting a single .nds.gba file but it doesn t boot with succes with passcard3, so if MK4-Mini or MK4-Key do it, it would be very nice !
This test had been done with a ds lite but with an old ds with flashme, the flashcard worked
