[NDS GAME] FP-Project
« on: August 18, 2006, 09:41:59 AM »

Hello everybody,

This is my first NDS game, The game is called "FP-Project" and is a Frozen Bubble Clone For The DS.

The killer feature is that you can play with the stylus (for old school player, you can play with the keypad Wink

Here is a screenshots of the game:

You can download it at the following location (.nds and .nds.gba included):

http://www.jdoucet.net/downloads/fp-r5-neo.zip

Here you can get more info on this game (this is my homepage):

Good gaming to all ...

Jerome

I like the photo backgrounds.
Is the bottom screen used for anything?
Do you use the dpad or stylus for input?

You can use the stylus or the dpad both are working

The bottom screen contains the splash screen ...

Great work, I've seen a homebrew like this on the GBA but it was never that fun using the d-pad, I love the stylus control  sm-29   -  I've seen previous releases of this game, but I never had the initative to download it until now! Great game

EDIT - I believe you'll have to upload your download files (and possibly screenshot?) to a post announcment - might want to double-check the guidelines for writing a submission/entry

awesome work.  the backgrounds are very nice, much better than some futuristic garbage.  how many different backgrounds are there?  also, does it have a limited amount of levels or is it random patterns?

Edit:  why does this forum consider c.r.a.p. (obviously without periods) a swear?

I get nothing on my flasme7 lite with gbamp. just black screens, a quick blue line half way down the bottom screen, then it goes, and some red noise (apporox 1 tile) top left of the top screen.

I don't own a gbaamp but I think this is the .nds.gba file that could be used in this configuration.

For the topic about the number of background, there is 20 different background I think but you can add as many backgrounds and level as you want as background are jpeg file, levels are text files (can be produced with the frozen bubble level editor) and these files are contained in a gbfs image.
I will provide a tutorial soon explaining how to mod the game.
But it can be done now if you get the source and if you some computer skills (essentially produce a new gbfs image and link it with the binary)

Hope this helps ...

PS: I've attached the zip containing the game to my post, I hope this is ok now for the game registration to the compo?

Have a good day,

Jerome
