suloku, you need to acknowledge the warning, by clicking the mp3 stop icon.  It won't stop under you acknowledge it.

Thanks, never thought about stopping it that way :-\

As I understand, the sampling frequency affects the bit rate.  The libmad library supported frequencies are the most common ones.  When you lower the sampling frequncy (or bit rate), you'll save disk space, but the music quality will also be degraded.

Hey Ahman

How do you start devhook games in irshell

maybe someone can make a userguide on how to use all the features, because it's confusing ::sm-04:: sometimes

it's still a good app, keep up the good work  ::sm-29.gif::

I too am having this same problem. Downloaded nethost 1.3, tried with & without pass again.
irShell 2.0 still reports:
Error: Can't connect to Network Host

On the Host PC, nethostfs's output is:
C:\>nethostfs -p 7513 /cygdrive
Accepted reconnection from IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Shutting down connections for IP 192.168.1.7

Hope this helps AhMan (GUI interface is a nice improvement!)

i have a problem vit nethost...
when enabling it, it connect to the pc (i see the connection activated in the nethost window...), but on the psp it gets stucked on the "initializing wifi, pls wait..." screen...
the only thing that can be done is turn off the psp...

instead, with old ir-shell 1.6, i can succesfully connect to nethost...

i'm the only with that problem?
Sephiroth87, iR Shell 2.0 can only be connected to nethostfs 1.3 server.  From your problem description, I believe you're using the old nethostfs 1.2 which only works with iR Shell 1.6.  You can download nethostfs 1.3 from the 2nd post of this thread.

If there is any open source homebrew with AVI support, I will try to make a plugin for iR Shell.  For the remotes from www.remotecentral.com, I know it's a bit confusing the first you visited them.  Have you tried the bundled pronto codes 1.3 with 2000 remotes support?

The 'launch devhook' function is very simple, just choose the icon and it will let you choose to run a UMD or go directly to XMB.  Make sure you've installed devhook already.  BTW, iR Shell doesn't provide ISO supports.  Only real 2.x UMD games are supported.

Devz, although you said you downloaded the new nethostfs 1.3, but the output you provided is from the old version nethostfs 1.2.  The new version of nethostfs 1.2 will give an additional line "Listening for ....", like the sample below.  Pls double check and download again if necessary.
E:\PSP\hostfs>nethostfs /cygdrive
Listening for incoming connections...
Accepted new connection from IP 192.168.11.12
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.11.12

First, thank you AhMan for this incredible app, I use it all days ^^

I have just two thing to ask you : when you activate the USB mass storage (stick up) and launch a eboot, when u quit the eboot to IRshell, the USB is desactivating himself... is not a big problem, is just anoying to push stick up each time :'(

Second, can you add the possibility to launch .elf or eboot for 1.0 fw ?

Sorry AhMan, i had truncated my results. Heres a more step by step output:

Quote
C:\>nethostfs -p 7513 c:\
Listening for incoming connections...
Accepted new connection from IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7

C:\>nethostfs -p 7513 /cygdrive
Listening for incoming connections...
Accepted new connection from IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Adding multi-session for IP 192.168.1.7
Shutting down connections for IP 192.168.1.7

C:\>nethostfs -p 7513 -l test /cygdrive
Listening for incoming connections...

All resulted with: Error: Can't connect to Network Host
The output 'Accepted new connection' & 'Adding multi-session' only appeared on the console after clicking 'Click any key to continue'

Below are my settings in the Configurator:-
Quote
XMB Network for Nethost: (WIFI Network Conn from FW 1.5)
NetHost IP/Name (AP): 192.168.1.120
NetHost IP (Adhoc): (blank)
NetHost Port: 7513
NetHost Password (set when necessary, no indication it saves tho)
Allow Adhoc PC Connection for Homebrew: Disable

Hope this narrows something down. (Yes XP firewall wasnt a factor either!)

First, I'll like to thank all for the support and voted for iR Shell.

@Yodajr, this is intentional.  iR Shell will always turn off USB Mass Storage when you exit homebrew or restart iR Shell.  This is for safty reasons.  You should only left the USB Mass on when you're copying files from PC to PSP and turn it off immediately after use.  If you've USB Mass on & running homebrew at the same time and also performing copy files from PC to PSP, your MS may corrupt.

@Devz, make sure you're using iR Shell 2.0.  If you're already using 2.0, then check your firewall and make sure the port 7513 is opened.  Your iR Shell Config looks okay and I couldn't think of anything else that may cause the problem besides the mentioned ones.

Very bizarre. nethostfs suddenly works now.
Sporatically. Now its gone again. *sigh*
Tried invoking nethostfs without specifying the port.  worked once.
Now im getting the same messages above again. Error etc etc.
However the console gets a flood of connections.

Might have to rollback to 1.6 if i cant assist in fixing this.

Thanks for your support AhMan, this is an area where software developers generally lack.

AhMan, thank you for your answer :)  ::sm-29.gif::
But I'll explain to you my situation : I use IRShell when I'm coding, like I used FA++ before... I really love the fast execution of eboot and the screenshoot stuff... (the wifi connection is awesome too, but too slow sometimes coz my AP)
So, I am a user who know what he do, I know when copy files to my MS and I know when execute homebrew...
I understand that you said, but if you add the option (off by default) to reactivate the USB mass storage when you quit a eboot and make a warning to prevent users of the risk of MS corrupt if they activate this option ?

And... it seem that you forgot my second question about launch .elf or eboot for 1.0  :-\

try using psphost v1.5, and replace nethost in it with the 1.3 from this topic...
works fine for me...
