Hi, congratulations on a kick ass utility... this program might be a life saver for me,!! I am just a but confused on my idea, my analog is destroyed all the way down to the connection on the Motherboard and it is nearly impossible to play most games, since anything requiring the analog is annoying. When I run games, at the menu the analog being broken, it's like holding down the analog down or up the whole time so the menu options are scrolling constantly as is the in game control always pulling to one side (real bad).
tried replacing the whole analog unit, turned out some short or something on my board, but anyways, I had several ideas which Remapsp's existence has enlightened me to attempt.. I am not successful yet, but I hope I will be soon...
My first idea was to try and see if it was possible somehow to leave all buttons and triggers same (default ), but have a remap script that just disables the analog completely ( to rid the constant pulling and scrolling in games)
then, my other was to make a macro (I think this is a macro, but It might be similar, like a modifier versus a set of keypresses...not sure) that when I pressed the note or select or some rarely used button it will change the (current) digital controls, to the analog, like a modifier so all I would need to do is press "music note” to make the digital become analog, and pressing the music note again will cycle back to Digital to Digital, and back and forth.. Is that possible? I tried reading the Help and try some out, made sense, but I guess I am a bit lost on doing the script.
my other idea ( which I HOPE will work ) this is a funny ( and desperate ) one: Leave all buttons and so default, then REMAP the ANALOG directional motions to the Digital and then Remap the Digital directional motions to the Remote ( rewind as left, forward as right, Play /pause as up and maybe volume up or something as Down ), so then I can tape or glue the remote on to my beaten up tore apart ragged psp ( which i love ) over where my Analog used to be and use that ( LOL I’m serious) as my digital. Is that possible with Remapsp? I read that Loco Roco can be controlled by the remote too! Any tips how to do these remaps? I tried making several with no luck, ( I guess I’m not too bright when it comes to script based stuff )
I tried leaving analog blank hoping at least the one seems the easiest to do ( disable analog ) but it did not work.. Am I missing something?

the vol + and - together do correctly bring the menu up to choose the remaps in the games through Devhook and I choose my remap but the analog is still causing the pull and the menu scrolling on the games (the games I tried it with all had the ability to allow user to scroll through menus to start the game with either dig or analog, (like Guilty Gear Judgment and Ghouls and Ghosts) and they allow the use of analog or digital for control (like Street Figjhter 3 max) so i figured disabling Analog would Cure my issue so i can finally choose the correct option at the game load with having to play slot gambling and pressing X a million times until i land the choice i need at the menu ( some games scroll so fast at the menu it really is like spin the wheel or a slot machine lol )
also as far as homebrew games, there is Neogeo psp emulator and Capcom system CP2 which, when u load the emulators, the game choice browser on both is constantly scrolling through the games , which goes so fast, it wont accept a button to accept the game to choose, i want to disable the analog on that to stop that, and both allow the analog and digital to be the control, so i only need the digital enabled to be able to scroll through the games and play them,,!!!
yayyyy i think i explained all that I had in my mind of ideas and thoughts
Thanks for any help, much appreciated, Congratulations on a great psp program, I think it's an excellent idea, A dire necessity to some, I am sure.
