If your roms are clean verified dumps, and you've tried fat16 and fat32 formatting, then I would suggest trying another brand of sd card (the software may not yet fully support all brands of SD cards).  There are some instability issues in the software that cause random freezing, but it shouldn't be happening all the time.

However, if you can only get two roms to work with a regular Sandisk or Kingston card, then something might be wrong with the hardware, and I would return it....

When you say"does not work",what exactly do you mean?
This was recently re-checked,and it worked fine for me.

It's likely the SD card brand that affects the results... I can't get Animal Crossing to work with my Sandisk, either...  It only works with my A-Data card...

Honestly,I don't remember if I used a Sandisk or a Kingston to check it.

If it does not work on your Sandisk,I guess I used the Kingston.

Nevermind.  Animal crossing does work.  I just had it freeze on me a couple times in a row.  But eventually if you keep trying it, it'll work.  Thanks

Just an FYI, I can not get either Dragon ball games to work.  They both pretty much go straight to a black screen when they startup.

It could be your particular brand of card.  It may also take several attempts to boot (may boot to black screens initially and work thereafter).  The stability issues will hopefully be fixed soon.

I assume you are referring to DBZ Bukuu Ressen (J) and DBZ Supersonic Warriors 2 (U).  I'll test them again to see if I can get them to boot...

BruceG

EDITED: Tested both with my regular Sandisk (fat16 formated, defragged), and both roms booted on first attempt.

However, the compatability report was generated with a neo2 SD (I'm guessing the neo2 TF compatability report will vary to some degree).

So it sounds like the problem is a card compatability issue (the neo2 coders will continue to improve card support so that testing results will be more uniform, regardless of which brand/type of card you use)

Well I just got my NEO2-TF and the first game i try is Lego Star Wars II. When it starts it for some reason creates a FIFA save file and it freezes on load with an error message. I then rebooted and though ok, i will rename that save. I realise now that it must have been tested with FIFA before it was sent out but still this shouldn't be the reason for my following problem.

When i tried to load star wars (with the lego.sav which i now realise was actually a FIFA save from tests that were run before the card was sent out) again, it froze on the erasing NDS save screen and now everything i try to load does the same thing, it writes the previous game save to the microSD then freezes on the erasing NDS save.  ::sm-03::

I was in the middle of writing a review on my website for this but it isn't doing too well at the minute.  :(

I must also ask if there are problems with the MK4-Mini and FlashMe? 8/10 times when i try to load the NEO2-TF with the MK4-Mini in, i just get 2 white screens but I can just about see the normal ds menu faintly in the background. When i try with MK4-Key, it loads every time.

Not very excited about this so far. Anyone have any ideas? I think the sram needs to be formatted or something.

I use flashme and the mk4-mini together, load the menu by presiing: A+B+X+Y, then it can save to the mk4-mini also. and try reïnserting the card a few times that worked for me when the mk4-mini didn't work.

but the mk4-mini and flashme do work together

I do not know of any way to flash the original bios back to a DS Lite and if anyone knows how I would be interested to hear it.

I will try with the XYAB method tonight but i fear it wont work due to the fact that it freezes when trying to load any game. We will see though, thanks for the replies.

I do not know how to do that(un-flash)myself,but I do believe it's possible.

The point in a lot of the coding being done now is to allow as little modification to the NDS as possible(none, actually),still running the hardware.
I hope you get yours un-flashed,or try it in another NDS before your judgement is made.

Flashme was pretty necessary early on in the NDS back-up scene, but a lot of work has been put into running this stuff on a "clean"system, for the average consumer.

Again,good luck,hope all goes well!
