Daigasso! Band Brothers DX is currently not working with the MK5.  The game uses some sort of 64 megabit / 8 megabyte flash save type, and the MK5 only supports up to 4 megabit / 1 megabyte flash save type.  The TTDS has received a firmware update to solve this issue, but the MK5 is still not working with this game.  Any chance we can get an update to resolve this?

Chrono Trigger #2949 has a new copy protection, any chance of getting an updated firmware released for the MK5?

UPDATE: patching with the following file solves the problem:

This may be of help no boss is super.

GBAtemp members Narin, Normmatt, Curley5959, Elixirdream, and SCVgeo have managed to create a code allowing you bypass the anti-security measures on the ROM. You’re able to run Chrono Trigger on your flashcart without any glitches, random crashes, or interruptions with this fix! A special thanks goes out to gelu who coded a fix for his AceKard RPG firmware that this code is based on!

Here is the cheat which should work on most flashcarts

There has been a patch made for the new Zelda release. I have no Idea if it works for the MK5.

rom release name:

Hey, guys!
I own an MK5 flash card and I thought it was perfect ds flash card... until now. I mean, Zelda Spirit Tracks doesn't save on MK5, because it has 8 mbit save type, while MK5 supports up to 4 mbit.
So my question is, are you gonna release an update, so it would be possible to play Spirit Tracks?

P.S. Or am I missing something, and it's possible to save in Spirit Tracks? I personally get following message: "Creating new save file", every time I load the game.
Thanks.

Well, nevermind then. I was going to buy this great piece of software anyway.
Very disappointed about NeoFlash team though. Never gonna buy anything from you from now on.

First I do not represent Neo Flash.
Second........

The MK5 is what three years old now. It was one of the best DS flash carts ever made None of the other carts I have allow you to manually change the save type like the MK5, you have to wait for the cart developers to set up the save type for you.

As Nintendo updates their games/systems to prevent flash carts  from being able run games you have to buy newer flash carts to keep up with the changes. Just like with the recent changes to the DSi. If I update my DSi firmware my flash cart will no longer work..... and I'll have to buy another cart. So now......I can't access Nintendo's on-line DSi store.

Some games run on my R4 that want run on my Mk5 or DSTT, but their are some newer games that will run on my three year old MK5 and not on the others.

As you said the Mk5 dose not support Flash - 8 Mbit and that's the end of the story.....unless someone smarter than us patches the game itself to work under a different save type. Don't expect a patch for a three year old cart.

If there is a  good long game that you really want to play, buy it as you could run into glitches on any of the carts and have to start over.

These are two examples of good long games worthy of purchase:

Suikoden Tierkreis

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Always support the game devopers that deserve it.
