What's this?

Pictoblog is an app that allows you to post pictures to your blog from everywhere!

Pictoblog uses the Metaweblog API, which is a very popular API supported by major CMSs such as Wordpress and Drupal and dozens of others.

Demonstration

Here's a blog I set up for testing. It's the default settings in the configuration file, so I don't take responsibility for the contents!

Setup

• Patch Pictoblog with the DLDI patch for your card
• Edit pictoblog.ini according to your blog's settings
• Copy Pictoblog and pictoblog.ini to the root of your card

If you just want to try it out, you can leave pictoblog.ini unchanged. You posts will then be published on the test blog.

Please don't flood the blog or post inappropriate pictures!

"Shift" on the keyboard doesn't work, nor does caps lock.

When attempting to upload to the test blog, I get a server timeout far more often than not.

Hey, you can do post text with the DS Browser. Also, a picture says more than a thousand words :-)

I'm sorry about the timeout problem. It's a bug in the app, and I'm currently trying to fix it. I'll let you know when I found the problem.

0xtob, this is a seriously nice DS app! I keep getting a server timeout too, but I'm waiting anxiously for when you release a fix for it. I'm going to try making my own pictoblog with this, too.

Also would like to see colours, fill and an eraser tool, too, if you have the time for that. Also, it doesn't suspend when you close your DS, either, which would be useful for power saving.

I'd definitely use this once it's completed!

maybe as well as being able to upload pictures generated in the program you could upload save pictures... say .bmp's saved from phidias.. or .txt files from dsorganise...

It turns out the problem was a bug in the dswifi library, which is now fixed thanks to sgstair. The fixed version of Pictoblog is available here:
