New release of the atari ST emulator.
What's new ? In one word : quicker ! (but not yet realtime) - Auto-frameskip (max 5) - New screen handling (next version will be ARM asm based) - Mouse in touchpad mode is quicker.
Which games are really playable ? Rick Dangerous I & II, Xenon 2, Speedball and many other Atari ST great games.
How to use it ? Copy bios and disks in the /roms/st. Bios file (tos102fr.img or other bios) have to to be renamed to tos.bin Disks have to be in the .st format
Great looking NEO Spring Compo 2007 logo
Game running at 97% (don't expect that in all game)

Right now, I just wish I had more time to do some in depth testing.
I've just tried a bunch of games so far : Blues Brothers, Xenon, Rick Dangerous 2, Bob Morane Ocean, Operation Jupiter, The Sentinel... and I really can't believe my eyes. They all can be launched and most of them are fully playable. The improvements are simply amazing. Even Bio Challenge works!

I really like emulators and this application for the DS is very interresting! The compatibility is quite good too. It reminds me of the Atari emulator for the PALM handheld.
Some feedback: I tried several random roms and most of them will boot ( hunter, HQ, a driving game) The compatibility for the .st format is great I think! The speed is average but for racing games and fast action the speed might increase just a little bit more. Don't get me wrong I do like this emulator and it offers me a way to play the old games again while on the go.The games were playable. I CAN't thank you enough. rewrite the screenhandling to ARM based will hopefully increase the emulator it's speed. It's a good idea!
What I would love to see is having multiple disk(.msa files) loaded in order to play Another World or LoomThese games aren't in .st format or is there a way to convert them to st?
Again thanks for the emulator and keep up the good works!

Hi Redbug,
Here is some more feedback.
I have tested a lot of games now. I would recommend this emulator to anyone who likes to play the old classic games again. This emulator truely brings up good memories and should be rewarded for giving me such a nostalgia feeling. Most games will boot and only looking and hearing the beeps and tunes again will bring a smill upon my face.
Some games I've tested: Another World (very slow, somtimes will freeze after menu) Monkey island (Playable at low speed, sound buffer issues, how do I save my progress?)) Loom (Playable, how do I save my progress?) Hunter (runs well) Battle Chess (Looks very good, this game is fun to play although the speed may increase a bit) Ninja Turtles (very good compatibility) Rick Dangerous 2 (Good compatibility) Blues brothers (Good compatibility but some control issues) Golden Axe (collors get mixed up in game but runs fast ) Prince of persia(Black screen)
Some small notes:- I noticed that sometimes the emulator stops capturing my mouse or touch screen input. This happens mostely when I switch between the input keyboard/mouse screens. -Sometimes I noticed that it seems that the buttons while pressed or short pressed work the same as auto-fire (rapidly pressing the keys). Maybe this strange occuring with my input is because the emulator does not runs on full speed yet or the cycles speed isn't fully optimized?
Hope the speed will be optimized a bit more and we have a pretty good emulator!
love this emu!
