Updated USB Slim Loader IV Drivers for WinXP SP2?
« on: January 03, 2008, 11:44:05 PM »
Has anyone updated the USB Slim Loader IV .INF file for WinXP SP2 compatibility?  SP2 does not want to use that .INF file at all.

If not, does anyone have a dump of the registry entries necessary to get the USB Slim Loader IV running under WinXP?  At least I can manually edit everything to get it running.

And yes, I read the readme files and all the other threads I could find on this issue, and have been left trying to manually hack the .INF file and registry to get it to work - the drivers do not want to install on any WinXP SP2 machine with the current patches at all using Windows own driver installer.

Thanks in advance!  ::sm-09.gif::

Took a while, but managed to manually make a set of registry files that with some minor hand modifications can properly install the USB Slim Loader IV on any WinXP and Win2K machine.  I still have not managed to make a .INF that will work right with WinXP SP2 and current patches.  But at least I have everything working.   ~sm-42.gif~

I'm having the same problem it won't load on my XP SP2 system... what did you do to fix this?

Every time I open the NEO POWER PCE USB Writing System 1.1 I get the below error message

Can not enumerate files in directory"F:\CDR = Driver CD\Neo PC-E Flash Cart\Software\128M PC-E + SAVE' (error 3: the system cannot find the path specified.)

If I copy the folder to the desktop that error goes away however I now keep getting another error...

Connecting Fault

Any idea how to fix it?
