You don't have to use or edit the examples, they are just there to show the sizes. You will need to do all three, as the copetition is open to PSP, GBA and NDS, so each machine will need its own splash screen.

Salz - very nice, a really professional splash. This the bar is starting high on this one. I like the horizontal DS splash also, good idea.

Could you ask for the designer that wins this to make a version for the DS held vertically (book mode)?  That would be cool for those types of games...

Here is my entry.

I'm not sure how to get them to show up like the other people did, as I'm new to this site, but I did attach them to this post.

I also have them in inversed colours, but I think the black looks better as the lettering stands out more.
