Hi everyone !!
Here the enter of SunOLv0.2 alpha in this compo Smiley

After some months of coding, we are proud to present this version.

Project name : SunOL v0.2 alpha
From : France
Division : NDS APP
Original enterty : YES
Support Motion : No
In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO

Archive updated !! please download this archive, a file was missing...

Project description : SunOL v0.2 alpha is an application to view the NDS release list. It allows you to view all informations about games and also boxarts and screenshots. This program can update himself and the database with the CWF.

Add a virtual keyboard

Engine fully rebuilt, more efficient

CONTROLS :
Use stylus to browse the windowing GUI.

While viewing the release list, use :
UP/DOWN to scroll.
LEFT/RIGHT to scroll by 10 units.
L/R to switch to other informations about the selected release.

HOW TO UPDATE from SunOL v0.1alpha :
To update SunOL v0.1alpha you have to delete the "/data/SunOL/skin/" folder, the "/data/SunOL/SunOL.ini" file and the "/data/SunOL/dat.dat" file.
After that, extract the archive on the root of your card overwriting already existing files on the "/data/SunOL/" folder.

The download link is broken... I figured out that it's http://sundev.olympe-network.com/SunOL/releases/SunOL_20-08-08.zip but you might want to fix it for other people.  Smiley

Doesn't work. It says "can't find sunol.ini file" so i tried to use .ini from previous version and... - few red screens with errors showed up and program still doesn't work. Does anybody know how to make it working? I tested it on NDSTT, AK RPG and R4 with the same results.

@Derak: have you simply extract the archive on the root of your memory card, overwriting the previous files of the 0.1alpha ?
It should work.
Have you DLDI patched the nds file (if your linker isn't DLDI autopatch) ?

All of my cards are DLDI autopatch and I extract all files to the root of my card. Previous version worked without any problem, now it says this:

{GetOneBUF}Can't find 'SL.T.txts.WaitEnd.vbls='.
{GetOneBUF}Can't find 'S.windows.onset_speed='.
{ReadPARAMS}Could no open file: "/data/SunOL/skin/40!?/skin.ini.

I extracted everything to the root... and it repeats telling me about not sein a SunOL.ini file...

I think you forgot to add that in the zip file...   Cry

how about letting the program autocreate the ini if not found ? Smiley

I tried to update the dat since the program said I should... sadly I then got a guru meditaiton error  Cry m

now it works like a charm... however, like with all homebrew.. they don't like my new internet router connection... and always stop downloading after some seconds... so I won'T be able to fully use this *sigh*.

EDIT: onlinemode works like a charm too ! great. my only complaint would be:

the keyboard is a bit small, but still, you got my vote  sm-18

Good luck in the Compo SunDEV, hope your hard work pays off !

Yes it can append sometimes while connecting to wifi, it's a bug in the dswifi library. (I'm trying to correct it and send a patch to Stephen Stairs)

What are the specs of your internet router connection ?

The keyboard is fully modifiable in the "/data/SunOL/skin/ubuntu_en/" folder (the two files kbd.ini and kbd.png), you can make it bigger Wink
(I'll propose on our website some differents skins and differents keyboards.)

The interface is very well done, and the fact that you can customize it via a very robust skinning system is a huge plus. Also, downloading icons, boxarts and screenshots via wifi works great. I hope you win.
