This game is great, I am definately enjoying it. I love the look (especially crocodingus!), and the gameplay. Now, If only I could find all of that persons underpants... I'm always missing 1. Great game though, definately one of my favs.
Good luck on winning the competition!

FantashtiCK! Even better than your previous urmutnut..umathurman whateveritwas game! Love the settings, pretty cool. What does those lil blue triangles do? Some kind of auto save spot? I did manage to die stepping on some of them so I tend to avoid them, hehe. Anyhoo, great game, post it at that gbatemp bounty hounty thing. Oh...and make Grim Fandango next, I usually don't give a **** much about ports but I would rob the old lady and her Chihuahua on the street for GF on anything handheld.

Great job Birslip / PXLTeam! I really like the graphics & animations - very cute main character! The puzzles are great and controls are spot on!
My only complaint is that the game seems "unresponsive" in between levels or after you die (all lives gone). After a couple levels I figured that its probably just loading up the resources but for a minute I thought it froze. I also noticed that after bouncing between the main menu and back into the level that the bananas turned all white... but maybe the game thought I need help spotting them
Also is there a way to reset the boxes? I found that I moved them into a corner and couldn't cross the river - I had to quit out to the menu and restart the level...
Overall - a great game! Congrats!!

Truly awesome game. The only things I didn't like were bugs (when you loose all your lives you can't press "try again" or "exit", however if you press start you will just continue playing) and lack of zooming option (at least some kind of map wouldn't hurt). Adding different environments (like ice or desert levels; I understand that the game is set on a tropical island, but look at Adventure Island (any chapter) for NES) would be cool too. Anyway, I think it is the best original game in this contest, and definitely a must-play for those who love pixel graphics and the atmosphere of Green Hill Zone.

A fantastic game!
Your art design is just perfect. Simple, solid and beautiful. Many commercial game developers could learn a lesson about how to create a simple 3D game by looking at this.
Your level design is also very good, especially the later levels that are larger. Nice puzzles with some exploration elements, too. Of course, more levels would be nice.
I also love the entirely ridiculous plot of a crocodile eating bananas on a pixelized tropical island and pushing crates around. It reminds me of the silly games of yesterday that they just don't make anymore (at least not without a movie or cartoon tie-in license). Thanks for bringing back this classic feel in your theme rather than going with something more serious.
Initially, I was unsure of the touchscreen controls and wished that I could just use the dpad to move Crocodingus around, but after a while I got used to the touchscreen and grew to like it a lot. It helped me to think of my stylus as some bait that Crocodingus was always following around, like a carrot on the end of a stick (I don't think crocodiles eat carrots, but you get the idea ...actually, I'm pretty sure they don't eat bananas, either )
So all this only leaves one problem...the large number of bugs in the game. They all seem like small bugs to me, but since there's a lot of them, it hurts the game. I hope you will fix these last remaining bugs and make another release (perhaps with more levels?), because then this would be probbaly the best homebrew game relesed yet for the DS, in my opinion.
Some of the bugs I noticed:
-The game over screen bug Rock Howard mentioned. -Only one sound effect will play at a time, so if picking up a banana then a coin right after the other, you won't ere the second sound effect -Some kind of touchscreen issue on the level select screen that I couldn't quite understand -Crocodingus can begin walking across fallen crates before they've fallen all the way
And some things that aren't exactly bugs, but should be worked on more, I think:
-Collision range between Crocodingus and the monkey seems too large -Collision range of Crocodingus' tail attack is also large, but maybe it should stay that way if there was some "shock wave" type of animation to show what the actual range is -Pushing crates is too easy, so you will often accidently move them even when just barely brushing past--th eplayer should have to press on the crate for a little while before it begins moving -Some more frames of animation are needed in a few places, like falling in the water, dying from the monkey, etc.
Most of these you were probably already aware of, but didn't have time to address before the compo ended. But like I said, I just hope you do make a bugfix release of this great game.
...word is bondage...
