Another ported game , this time by "Deniska".

Lets read what developer has to say...
Quote

This is a PSP adoptation of Super Methane Brothers, a commercial Amiga platformer by Apache Software Ltd.
The port is based on V1.4.8 of a linux conversion of the game by Mark Page.

GAME PLAY
Puff and Blow each have a Methane Gas Gun which fires a cloud of immobilising gas.
If this comes into contact with a bad guy he will be absorbed into the gas and then float
around the screen for a limited time. Bad guys are harmless in this state. Puff and Blow
must suck the floating gas clouds into their guns and blast them out against a vertical
surface. Bad guys then turn into bonuses which can be collected. Be warned! - the gas
cloud dissolves with time after which baddies become active again and extremely annoyed.

Another ported game by "Zack".

This is a really rushed port , and unplayable.
The game runs at about 4-6fps , and there are many bugs.

Lets read what "Zack" has to say ...

Quote
I only started this project today as I totally forgot about when the neoflash deadline was, and thus have been forced to "speed port" it.

I will be updating this to "perfect" status after the neoflash competition, there is just only so much I could cram in to this release, given that I have only had roughly 6 hours to work on this...

Despite this, it is totaly playable and a really fun and quirky platformer. Abe's Amazing Adventure is a scrolling, platform-jumping, key-collecting, ancient pyramid exploring game.

Good luck Zack finishing this port...wish you the best!

Pros & cons :

+Good looking graphics

-The game is unplayable...it runs at about 4-6fps or something, and some times it stops for a second.
-No sound effects
-Long load times
-If do the mistake and click on "About" button , you can't return to menu!

The X-pired controls are indeed feeling heavy that is because you move from one tile to another and you don't stand inbetween tiles. It's the nature of the game.

Define 'a bunch'...  Probably 3 excluding mine are for the PSP out of hte whole bunch.  Flash games and javascript ones excluded obviously. Sorry i just don't see how on the PSP console my game is 'yet another minesweeper clone'; button testers, breakout, tetris, "catch the ___" and pong games are 'yet another' games on the PSP...

Speaking of which, if you are going to play that 'card' what is with iPong.  You are contradicting yourself there because, true you state it is just another pong clone, but the pros you said for it are very very weak and it shouldn't get as high a rating as it is based off your grading of the other games.  You seemed very lenient, possibly bias.   According to your final standings, it is 'better' then X-pired (awesome port!), blob volleyball (great jelly physics!), stacker (great game!) and shooter (original platformer so great!), all of which are original (not clones of over done psp homebrew games...)?  Of all games those are the 4 i've played the most.  Now I'm not saying iPong is a bad game or anything of the sort, nor anyone's entry.

In an unrelated case you seem to pay no attention to the changelogs of already released games being entered.  You musn't judge the game itself unless it is brand new, rather judge it's changelog compared to the already previously released version.  Polygunwars for example, it's been released atleast 3 times before (i believe all 3 into past competitions at that).  Now don't get me wrong, as a whole it is a marvelous clone and the author has done a great job with it, but according to the competition rules it should be judged based off the new features (new enemy, bug fix, online highscore), else things like IRshell and whatnot could re enter and easily place in the standings.  Slasher is a great developer in my book, he is always original and always respectful yet it's things like this that 'hurt' him and it starts to annoy me after 3 competitions...

Sorry if this comes off as a bashing or if i sound like an advocate for my game, I'm just venting and it just so happens I have a game entered so i'm automatically bias.

Uhhh no ,im not getting into this.

You can always write your own reviews and take account all little details you're talking about.

I decided to write honest reviews , and transfer to the reader all my thoughts.
If you don't agree with my ratings/reviews , that's your problem , i can't help.

Also please leave other authors/entries out of the conversation.

Thanks.
