I think i'll not add a "move left count" for each level, the game is not about optimization, the goal is to unlock all levels.
The move counter it's only a way to make harder a level.
I can remove the move counter, but if i do that than you can finish each level just with:
- change color,
- change color,
- move one step closer to the batteries.
I've planned to add more levels as soon as i can so ...
i have started to think about how many levels can i get ... there are quite a lot:
roughly 3^64 possible levels configuration
If you count that i've left the possibility to use neutral tile [without color, so you can always pass on them] you can get 4^64 levels AND if you add all possible starting and ending position and the two initial color for each level you reach:

27875930000000000000000000000000000000000 levels.

OK OK, a lot of them are copy [with color shift] and/or rotation of each other, but that's enought!
I'm sorry for the absence of the "you finish the level with x move left" in the contest version, may be i'll add it, but i'm not so shure of it.
I think it's better to add more and more levels and play them instead of try to catch the end in the smallest number of move [but that's may be funny too!!! ... may be i'll add a new game mode
