Haha, we were quite surprised too. However, we concluded that the reason for the lack of birdwatching guides was primarily due to :

- The cost of getting photographs that they could legally use in their application to distribute commercially
- The low demand vs. production cost that would've ensued

We're planning on making Avia open-source soon (it's a relatively easy-to-use "API", if you can call it one), it uses a simple .ini indexing system along with an internal string array of bird names.

Anyways, hopefully you guys will be able to use our application out there in the wild, I know I have ^^

What do you do with DSMotion (cannot test it, as my R6gold does not start this game)?

Very strange... it works with my R6Gold (I used it during testing phase). It could possibly be that the Embedded File System is not being initialized? What message does it say on your screen before it doesn't start?

The ds-screens are turned of (but the lamp is still on, so my ds is also on). ~sm-64.gif~.gif

Most likely isn't Motion issue. You should first see a message saying "Loading Embedded File System..." before the motion is even initialized. Therefore, it might be that your ROM is potentially not DLDI-patched for your specific flashcard.

It works 100% for me on my R6Gold and on my R4 as well as no$gba emulator. You can test it out on an emulator if you still have trouble working with it. Very strange though, considering it boots up for me automatically after compilation on my R6 Gold.

I wish you the best of luck in trying to get this to work.

For users that can't seem to get this ROM to work your cards (like s_hansse), feel free to try it on no$gba emulator or DLDI patch it prior to launching it. It's not the motion's problem, but rather the embedded file system that loads prior to the program's start up.

Have fun  ~sm-37.gif~
