Tongueman's Logic and more.
« on: January 06, 2011, 11:42:22 PM »
I was testing some PC-E / TG-16 homebrew software, when I finally got to Chris Covell's Tongueman's Logic. I bought the 128 meg card with save feature, but the game displays a message about being unable to find save memory, which makes saving impossible. I can't specify a save type manually, since the Windows client does not give me this option [not for PC-E games, at least].

So that's one thing. I also tried running Eaggy's little demo, which runs fine on MagicEngine, but is partially [and mostly] broken on my NTSC TurboGrafx. I used the latest Win client and the 1.10 menu.

Did you press the right button (I or II) in the menu when loading the game? One of them is supposed to load them game with BRAM disabled, and one with BRAM enabled. I've never tested the save feature myself since I only have the old 64 Mbit card without save support.

I started the game with save support turned on, so I'm not sure why it refuses to cooperate. Is it possible that Chris Covell could have used a save method that's not supported by the Neo Flash card? At the time the game was developed, the only backup device that was "commercially" available, was the Tototek one.
