This is an old project of mine, my first real game. It's a shmup-puzzle hybrid game with a game mechanic similar to ikaruga and mr driller mixed together.
You got to choose your team to start fighting a mysterious invasion on coloured blocks.

The game has also 2 additional unlockable game modes and 2 different unlockable ships to chose from after completing levels.

I've notice i'm quite an idiot. I've not erased memory saves before uploading the game.

TO START HOLY HELL FROM THE BEGINNING GO TO OPTION SCREEN AND PRESS:

SELECT + L + R


Without doing this the game starts pointing at the last completed level of my savestates,
i mean the end of the game.

Here's how the game should look after memory reset completed with a walktrough for the first 10 levels of holy hell! Hope you enjoy it.

is that why the stages are loading blank for me? my character is there and can fire off weapons but no blocks drop. perhaps it is just the generic emulation and gba hardware i am testing with. i haven't tested on real hardware yet.

Yes, it has some problems with save states, to fix it do memory reset and change difficulty setting in the option page.

I have noticed this kind of problems before, but i can't understand how to permanently fix that.

I was wondering why it STARTED with such an insanely hard level.  ~sm-82.gif~.gif
