Nice improvement! To minimize size, the board could be printed with the paths  closer together for one option only CF or USB. It should cut it down a bit. Also, I saw a DC mark on the board, is it for the external power source?

Hey Dr.NEO,

Finally you've at least released some pix, size will be cut down I know but do you have any 3d blueprints of the design so we can see its size?
Secondly I see you have 2 usb ports on the board, Im not sure if people would need two, but its a good idea Im sure two pen drives is better than One
and as someone said above, maybe you could make a battery for this baby I think it would need it rather than a DC power source? Or both with a rechargable battery!
Its a good idea none the less, I dont personally use CF but I will use USB even though this model does not have it.

Keep working on your great ideas, Sorry if ive been abit pushy but I thought it was time for the world to see your product!

Something similar to the IPOD battery should work. It could power the drive for a long while. Also, will the forum members recieve an email notification and a distributor list when this is ready for launch?
I know from personal experience I'm getting a few of them. Hopefully, pre-ordered this thanksgiving!

A CF version is cool, but if you could release a USB2 version that would be cooler! Using a 40Gb iPod as an external drive would take care of anyone's storage problems once and for all

I think he was asking if you were allowed to refer Hitachi's product in this product demo. Basically, saying that if Hitachi would allow you to drop their name with this product.

So... about the Skin of this Amazing prototype (Theorically seeing Images, suport CF and MMC/SD)I think you can make 2 versions to sell: a CF version and a MMC/SD version. (Again seeing the images the final product can be of: [length, width, height] 4x4x2 cm)

Sorry if I was misread. The Hitachi name is the issue.  Personally, I don't give a *.  So lets drop this.

As for this proto, it looks great I hope for smaller better things so I can mount this on my PSP.
