It is much better product compared with other high storage device...more support on different memory card :)

I can see there are so many memory slot here, like MS, SD and Compact Flash, is it possible to use all of them at the same time? such as insert all memory in the slot and select any file in delicated memory card?

yes its better BUT its UGLY and we dont need SD, CF, USB all in one(why not make one USB or CF or SD so make it smaller.)
other 2 will be useless when we use one of the port

So, what I hear is true? You can't run homebrew off it? What a waste no usb and no homebrew. All the anticipation and no pay off....

you could do these somewhat hard to understand theory of mine

you do this

get an ipod hdd
get a cf to ide adapter from starnet wifi
find the guide to how to make an adapter so you can connect your ipod to a ide hdd
and you use the psp 4 in one

first you take out the ipod hdd, make the adapter, plug the ide male connector into the female ide to cf connector then connect the cf male connector into the female psp 4 in one cf female connector

there  :P

that was my idea exactly (but a bit more sophisticated), CF/PCMCIA/IDE storage devices are all very similar so you could make an adapter that went cirectly from CF -> PCMCIA and use a 1.8" hard disk (ala ipod) - But it would be useless as the PSP will only be able to see volumes up to 4Gb, meaning that you may as well stick with a 4gb microdrive.

OK, so in that case, i can use a microdrive bigger than 4gb if its formatted with fat32, the PSP firmware will recognise it, BUT homebrew apps wont run from it?

Will i be able to play media files from it say Mp3's and the psp videoformat (Mp4?) because thats all i want it for at the moment.

when you use the 6GB in NEO-pad on your PC,you can use whole 6GB, if you use in the PSP,you can use the FIRST 4GB only,it's mean PSP will identify the 6GB is one 4GB MS and it working well.
In my world, have 0 and 1 only ......Matrix World......

yeh, id figured as much, but whats the point? i have a CF reader in my PC already if i want to use high capacity CF cards, its useless hacking the neo-ms converter to use IDE/PCMICIA storage devices (because they come in volumes of up to 60gb) if the PSP will still only see 4gb.

Im emailing SONY (for ****s and giggles) i wanna see if i can get a corporate boilerplate type response out of them as to why the PSP firmware is 4gb limited

Would there be a way to boot different partitions 4GB each on a HD and use it that way?

Where is this IDE to CF converter? All I have see is the CF to IDE Converter (CF into the adapter and making it an ide drive).

I am confused about pre-ordering this item. It says there is a SD/MMC version and a CF/MicroDrive version. Does that mean that I cannot use both of my SD and CF cards in the same device? Both versions have the same diagram that can take all four memory cards. Also, Do rechargable batteries come with this device?

ouch $99 for JUST adapter. I'm passing on this. for $99, you can get 2 1gig memory duos.
seems $250 for 4 gig and extra battery is better price than this one.
good bye this site is going to deleted from favorate =(
