==================== ArkanoiDS ====================
Description: ArkanoiDS is a clone of the popular breakout/arkanoid game. Currenty, ArkanoiDS has 10 built in levels complete with 6 different type of bricks. The different color of bricks are (from easiest to hardest) Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, Red and finally Purple. In ArkanoiDS you are not limited to only moving the paddle left and right, with the stylus you can move the paddle anywhere on the bottom screen.
Controls: Touch Screen - Move paddle, Select menu options...
EDIT: Final version now out!! VERY improoved. Paddle colision is now 100% fixed. Should work on hardware. 10 challenging NEW levels (except for the first and the second). A nice menu. etc.. etc...
Pictures of the NEW build:

Get it NOW!

ahhh that sucks. I was pretty sure it was gonna run on hardware . And I have really no clue why it doesen't... Well.. im gonna release a new version tonight with better/more levels and a menu and better paddle hit colision (yes I know its still broke). Im kinda sad that it dosen't run on hardware though... ill try to figure it out before I release the other version. By the way, thanks for replying and letting me know of this.

Where is the final build? The same old links above? I just downloaded the ones above again. Still don't work
When I first got my neoflash, my stuff ran on emulators but not on the hardware. I fixed it by switching to devkitpro/devkitarm with libnds. What are you using?
smealum, did you use a cart or wifi? Strange that it works for you but not me. Anyone else have any problems running this on real hardware or just me?

I guess I could always try the emulators
btw, my precise symptoms are that no graphics appear. the colors of the two screens change, but not necessarily at the same time (shades of blue that appear similar to the bg's for the game). the game may be playing but just the graphics aren't displaying

Well, I tried it on dualis. it's certainly a competant port. It's interesting to be able to move the bar anywhere instead of just left and right at the bottom.
I'd rather it didn't go back to the title screen when you die (if you're going to give free continues anyway). If you could make one major gamplay change, I'd ask that you make the ball physics more complicated. They're pretty tame right now (i.e. change the angles that the ball reflects off the paddle depending on where on the paddle it hits, like the original pong and nintendo's alleyway (gb), another arkenoid clone).
very playable though, nice job

The reason that it goes back to the title screen even though you have free continues is that, well I had it all without any free continues.... but then I realised it was REALLY hard. And it was getting late my time. About the ball physics, I know the're not great. But they do work, I just find it hard to sometimes get the last brick or so but after testing this game so many times I think I mastered it . Anyways thanks for the feedback.

Nothing is complete then if thats your view on "Complete". Every game could be improoved one way or the other. I think my game is complete... it does what it was intended to do. You can BEAT it, theres a congratz screen and everything.
