NDS card encryption broken : what's expected?
« on: January 31, 2006, 04:57:40 AM »
With the (public) release of the decryption key used by NDS games, can we expect to have a bootable MK2/3 (without anything intested into the GBA slot), and whithout using the expected new flashme ?

Probably not, since the firmware tests the encryption, you'll always need a commercial cart to be in the Mk to run it, but more commercial games will probably be able to boot directly from SD card when decrypted.

Mods/Devs, please correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure the mk4-mini stores the decryption code inside of the cart.
