NDS App - Draw
« on: August 21, 2006, 02:57:05 PM »
A neat Drawing app.

Features a new GUI, smooth drawing, bucket fill, and much more.

Smooth draw allows you to draw images at twice the resolution of the ds screen, 512x384. Also allows you to save and load PNG images from the MK2/3.

Files are attached, or if it doesn't work, try http://davr.org/ds2/DrawNeo.zip

Some instructions:

Everything should be pretty self explanitory, the only things not finished are:

* Brush size: You cannot change brush size via GUI, and it does not show your current size.

Controls (when not in the GUI):
UP/DOWN - change tool size
LEFT/RIGHT - change current tool
A - Load PNG from CF/SD
B - Load PNG from SRAM
X - Save PNG to CF/SD
Y - Save PNG to SRAM
SELECT - New/clear drawing

Ive used the program before to, but im quite concerned now, as i can't use it probably anymore. i can only use a small portion of the screen to touch, ive saved a png of what i was able to draw, and i couldn't draw outside this black dot i managed to create. so i don't know whats the problem now, but its quite sad it didn't work.

see the attachments for the pictures, the first one is done with a brush, the second one is used by using the paint bucket tool with black and using the eraser i made a white part.

:( It must be my new touchscreen code. I have used some new code from someone which supposedly fixes all the touchscreen problems, and indeed, it does work very well for me. I'm not sure what's different in your case, do you have trouble with any other homebrew? Do you have a screen protector or anything?

You know whats so funny about?
The new code is 'suppost' to work better without any jumping lines, but in the previous releases i didn't have any problems with jumping lines or the touchscreen whatsoever. so its funny that this supposed 'fixed' version only ruins things for me.

anyway, i DO have a brando screenprotector, but that can't be the problem i guess.
maybe if you PM me your email, we can fix this problem asap!

Hmmm, this one seems a bit rushed. A whole bunch of functionality is missing and I find that a bit of a shame. However, I always liked the draw app and what does work, works rather nice.
