NDStation 1.2.1
« on: August 20, 2007, 10:28:49 AM »
Nickname: chuckstudios
Project name : NDStation 1.2.1
Division: NDS App
Original enter : Yes
In last NEO Compo this project won in the top 10 : No

Project description:  NDStation is a flasher for the EZFlash 3-in-1 Expansion Pack which allows you to package a ROM wimithin a .NDS file and therefore run it from your Slot 1 flash card's main menu. Its purpose is to make things feel more integrated and unified on your flash card. It also supports custom borders and compresses the GBA ROMs.

This release fixes the border issues, COMPRESSES ROMS, and makes writing the same game to the NOR a lot faster. Have fun!  :)

Edit: Updated to 1.2.1, which fixes a bug with uncompressed NOR ROMs and cleans up the source code.

Great software! I've an issue: a big file that loads correctly but very slow in NOR with v 1.1 now loads much faster (good), but when loaded the yellow "competition screen" starts to flicker in background instead of disappear or stay fixed (not good). I use ez3in1 together with R4.

I converted a GBA game but it doesn't do anything once it showed the Neo Flash Summer competition logo.

OK, so the key issues I've been hearing about this release is fubared borders and sloooooooooooooow decompression. I could have sworn I fixed the borders before I released, but apparently not. And decompression is going to be a lot faster for 1.3. I promise :)

I'm pretty sure it's due to the snail's pace of the decompression, sorry I didn't make that clear.

So this won't be fixed till a newer version gets released?

I have the same problem as Hyrule_boy.
I run the ROM and it just stays for hours without doing anything.
And it's not the decompression, because I did not compress my roms.
I patched all my roms with EZ4 Client and then applied the DLDItool.

I guess I'll continue using version 1.1 for now...

Can you please updated NDStation for new hardware chip used for EZ 3in1. As pointed out by Taylor in this post http://nds.cmamod.com/2007/05/14/gbaldr-3in1-01-final-source, the EZ team has changed the chip used in EZ3in1. Please see this post http://ezflash.sosuke.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11939.

Can this wonderful tool be updated with this new the new hardware id.
