DSHobro 0.3
« on: August 21, 2007, 10:51:09 AM »
Nickname: Costello
Projet name : DSHobro 0.3
Division: NDS APP
Original enter : YES (I think? whats this supposed to mean?)
In last NEO Compo this project won in the top 10 : NO
Project description:  DSHobro is a homebrew web browser for the Nintendo DS. It requires a PC application to function. The newest version (0.3) comes with Flash/Java/ActiveX support, text input, automatic connection configuration and more. The real purpose of DSHobro comes when you're away from home and want to surf the web with your DS. If you've started the server app on your PC and it's still running, then you can surf the web from any WiFi access point in the world.

The files included in the zip package are:
- DSHobro03.nds (normal version)
- DSHobro03.sc.nds (sc version)
- DSHobro03.ds.gba (slot2 version)
- readme.txt
- Server.exe: the server application.
The original MD5 hash for this file is 5bc8b5e0270ed6ea4c7821f320224967, CRC32 is 9492F36E.

The file can be downloaded here:
http://gbatemp.net/up/dshobro03.zip

I am hosting this file on my personal server for this reason: the zip package contains a .EXE file, and I recommend you do NOT download it from any other location. Ill-intentioned people could replace the real DShobro server application by a virus/trojan/spyware.

Good luck to all the participants, and thank you Neoflash for hosting this competition!

from what i understand the pc side app processes the webpages and sends them to your DS. because of this it doesn't need to use DLDI or cache on the cart.

thanks for the submission and good luck.

Dr.neo: it doesn't need anything (sram, ram...) it just works with the RAM of the DS.
OSW: yes that's it.

Thanks for the compliment  ::sm-18.gif::

works amazingly well except when I try to input passwords and usernames for gmail it give me any of my buttons when I press select (just a bunch of letters and numbers) and when I try to login to a forum it just goes to the company that keeping the forum running.  also when I was going to some sites yesterday the server thing on the computer popped up with a sreen that showed what site I was on on the DS and I haven't been able to get it to bring this up since... so is there anyway to get this back up?
