The new CPLD ID is indeed 0x83, the ASIC ID reads fine now, and everything else still works as usual, so nothing bad to report. I still need to check that issue I reported about the CIC value on reboot as opposed to power on.

The only issue I've had with running games is when you run a game with reset to game, but the game's CIC doesn't match the boot CIC. I'm not sure there's anything wrong, per se, I just might need to set another register before starting the game. I'm in the middle of the SD interface code. Getting very close to having a real menu for the N64.  ;D

Dr.neo already posted a picture of the test app with the mini menu. I've made a small video of me running the mini menu, navigating three games, then starting one from flash, but I can't upload it anywhere until tomorrow.

EDIT: Okay the video is up.

EDIT 2: Whoever maintains the site needs to add youtube tags to the board.  ^-^

Found another reboot issue: when you set RST_IO for reset to menu, it boots from the U2, even if the boot type is set to GBA menu. So it's funny - I'm writing my current menu test to the GBA menu, and when I reset, it runs the last test app I worte to the U2 flash.  ~sm-73.gif~.gif

the menu looks great chillywilly.  :) and the game doom loads realy fast(thats great). ok it's a 8MB ROM, How long loads a 256M ROM like perfect dark? and i see sd support is at the moment not given, we must flash all the games on a neoflashmodul, right?
great work chillywilly take your time.  ~sm-59.gif~.gif

The game is burned first on flash and the myth cart is able to boot the game directly from there so the loading is instant  ~sm-69.gif~.gif

CW, when you use one type (for example 6102) to power on the n64, then you cant' change the boot cic type to other version until you re-power on N64 console.
so i think the only way is patch the roms cic type on the fly when you return to the menu and before run other different cic games? (for example patch the 6105 to 6102)

There aren't many games that aren't 6102, and probably most of the others could be patched. Some were designed to look for a particular CIC even after the boot, so they won't work right without more patching than I can handle. I think a couple of those type games got fully patched by someone from the dextrose board... I'll have to check into that.

What about the reboot to N64 menu when it should reboot the the gba menu issue?
