Super Robot Spirit works for me. DK64 doesn't though... the fix for the reboot problem breaks it.  ::sm-02::

Here's a new beta that doesn't do the fix when DK64 is run. If anyone spots more, let me know. At some point, it may be easier to list the ones that need the fix and the ones that don't.  ~sm-73.gif~.gif

NeoN64Menu-2.3b2.7z

I've noticed another issue not related to the reboot issue - with certain carts attached to the pass through on the Myth, "fast" mode isn't reliable, so larger games may not load properly (or smaller ones too). You can switch which cart you use or use "quick" mode instead of fast mode. If you change the name of the "hidden" file in /menu/n64/ from ".fast" to ".quick" the menu will use a little slower timing. That means slightly longer load times, but it's more reliable with certain carts on the pass through of the Myth. Note - you need 2.3 burned to the N64 or GBA menu flash to use quick mode; it won't work on the older menus (since it didn't exist).

Okay, another update. This one leaves everything at the old timing on run except for things specifically specified. The list is shorter this way as the only game I know that currently REQUIRES different timing is Battle Tanx. This update also makes "quick" mode a little slower.

It works fine for me, so two possibilities occur to me: 1 - your image is bad; I got mine from romnation.net; or 2 - wrong region? I'm using an NTSC N64 and SRS is an NTSC Jap game; if you're on a PAL system you may need to use Paladin on the image first to make it work.

If you are using an NTSC N64, it should just work. Just to be sure it isn't a problem with the speed, change the name of the file in /menu/n64 from .fast to .slow. If it works then, you're having an problem reading at full speed. That can be caused by certain carts attached to the back of the Myth. For example, Tigger's Honey Hunt requires me to run at a slower speed while Rug Rats works fine at full speed.

It's been mentioned a number of times here. It can be found at IceQuake... which seems to be down at the moment:

..As CW already said.
But since you're using an NTSC N64 you should need Paladin for this game anyway.

Maybe your rom file got corrupted somehow. Redownload the arc and get a fresh copy. All I can say is Super Robot Spirits (J) [!].z64 has worked for me on every version of the 2.3 menu I've posted. I would appreciate it if someone else also tried SRS on their N64. Only having one report other than my own isn't helpful.

I tried "Super Robot Spirits (J) [!].z64" on my jap. N64 with the 2.3b3 menu and it worked flawless.

Also tested the savegame backup function:

Goldeneye US (4kb eeprom) - worked
Conker US (16kb eeprom) - worked
Zelda OoT PAL (sram) - worked
Zelda MM PAL (flash) - didn't work

I verified the savegame backups by playing the games in PJ64 emu.
The Zelda MM save looks pretty good in a hex editor so it could be just PJ64.
I didn't test the savegame on real hardware yet.

Thanks for checking. There's some question as to how much FRAM there is, and how it's stored in files by emulators. Supposedly, one block out of each slot is "short" meaning there should be 960 bytes instead of 1024 (or something like that), meaning not 128K, but 128*960. However, the most N64 emulators I have looked at just ignore the short block and store FRAM as a straight 128KB file. Daedalus and Mupen64 both do that. The N64 Myth also simply keeps the FRAM as 128KB of save ram with no short block. I should check PJ64 to see what it does.

But this is just the sort of thing I need reported so I can fix things - if needed. Thanks again!  ;D
