Hi id been using it absolutley fine for the last couple of weeks, no problems at all, (used about 10 times). I re-formatted pc the otherday, just to do a fresh install. Today im trying to load usb drivers so that windows xp will recognise it, but its not recogising the drivers on any of my usb ports now (8), im a bit confused as I installed before with no problems whatsoever. Ive tried re-installing and I make sure that the software is installed first, before plugging in the device. Bit stumped, anyone got any ideas, thanks in advance.

As an update, now when I plug the device into any of the usb ports, im not even getting the new device wizard coming up, saying that windows doesnt recognise it. Thats in any of the usb ports. Although the green light in on, on the device, so power is getting to it.
*Further update, I just tried installing the loader on a windows 98 pc, using the win98 drivers that come on the disk, and it recognises/installs the loader fine, which points to a problem with xp or my usb ports, but they work fine with everything else :-\

Try doing it over a friends house or on some other computer you can find. Also if your having more trouble try deleteing the driver to figure out how to do that and more check here: Corys guide (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,875.msg5147.html#msg5147)

Hi thanks for your reply, still no joy im afraid, it works fine on other pcs, but not mine, basically I followed the guide twice through and when looking in device manager under the usb section, there was no mention of the gba device. Although when searching the /inf files there was a few but were deleted. I restarted pc and plugged in the loader trying several usb ports, but I only get green light, no wizard comes up to prompt me to install the drivers. 2 of my usb ports are taken up with a mouse and a keyboard, so I decided to try one of those ports (ones which I hadnt previously had the device plugged in and tryed to install the drivers), the result was that it came up with the new drivers wizard, but then I plugged my mouse into another usb port, and it didnt work, so i couldnt test the loader to see if the drivers worked. I obviously dont have a faulty product, but im tearing my hair out as 2 weeks ago, I installed the loader in 2 mins and was flashing away no problems. :-\

As a further update, its not my usb ports, I simply restarted and left mouse plugged into that port and it worked fine. Still no luck with loader though, anyone got any other ideas before I reinstall my OS to see, or sell the loader.

Really, Weird. I had the same problem 2 days ago :'( But All I had to do was go threw windows looking for the driver files. Did you check the faq and delete every file? I'm sure it'll work because your USB ports arn't dead right? The mouse and keyboard can still work?. If thats true it means your gonna have to ask Dr. Neo about it or Cory there pretty smart with this stuff. Also did you go into Device Manager and click show hidden devices under view. Also make sure its plugged in when you do this and also in a port thats not working with the usb slim loader.

Ive done everything the guide said, Ive deleted all the files, and made sure everything is shown in device manager. In device manager, it simply lists the usb ports, but doesnt say anything about gba drivers or devices. Yes everything else still works okay in the usb ports, ie. keyboard, mouse, sd card viewer (for camera), usb for my phone, joypad etc. Another thing ive just noticed is that when I plug the device into usb, normally I get a particular sound, kindof the mirror of when you unplug a usb device, but with this im getting 2 different beeps, and just the green light.

Found the solution... I completely re-installed my O/S and tried again, worked absolutly fine and found the driver straight away as it had done before. I had a think and recon the problem was some drivers for my phone software, which I had installed recently for modding my phone. Previously when I had the loader up and running fine, I didnt have this software on my pc, so im pretty sure it was that. Anyway thanks for your help, and suggestions, in any case, I know know how to remove the drivers manually if ever I need to, so cheers.

Ouch... I'm having a similar problem but I really don't want to reintall windows... I wonder which driver is causing my conflict. Any suggestions on how I can go about finding the faulty driver?
-
It doesn't sound like there is an easy way to identify the specific device causing the conflict, if in fact that's the cause. If it worked before at some point, I would go back to that time, and trace my installations (system restore provides a basic way of doing that since it usually creates a restore point when you install a new application, so you can check the system restore calendar). Then it seems to me like a matter of removing items from the control panel and testing...
Before I do that, I would try uninstalling/reinstalling Neo Power Kit, and maybe even going back to a previous version that I remember was working fine just to see if it gets detected. Also, everything the original poster tried first is standard procedure (the FAQ covers the most common problems), and you should probably exhaust all those options before contemplating an os reinstall.

usb for my phone
I have heard of this one causing problems before...
jerfy: try removing all USB devices and see if that helps, and if you have a USB mouse, make sure the slim loader is plugged into a different USB side-by-side pair than the mouse is (on the back of the PC, without an extension cable).
