I got a MK2 for free but that is it. Just wondering if i ship it to someone can they flash it for me and ship it back ... i will of course make it worth your while. I would appreciate any replies.

Where do you live?

I live in indianapolis Indiana. s_a_rennier@sbcglobal.net Feel free to email me if u you like.

Currently there is no boot menu that can be flashed to the MK2 and have it work without a flashcard.
-
So this thing is pretty much useless? Why would they send me something i couldnt use?
-
Have a look at the spec:

Im pretty certain they assumed you did before applying.

for the menu 0.3 release, burn it to your flashcart - it is an ds.gba file and should be put first on the flashcart (ie: no gba loaders).
The menu is essentially a homebrew NDS file, and explanations on how to run homebrew on many flashcarts can be found here (pretend your MK2 is a passme, which it essentially is, with the addition of a few other things as well):

If you have and F2A ultra, EZ1/2, or XG/NeoFlash cart I can explain it...

I am sorry if u misunderstood me but i meant i have a SD card and a MK2. Is there any way to get it to work?
-
Ahh, you have a multimedia card then, not a flash cart.
The MK2/3 boot menu must load off a GBA flash cart that can run NDS files, or one that can have only 1 GBA file with no boot menu.
This was in the hardware spec (although a little vague :( )
"boot from ANY flash cart"

So i have a paperweight and not much more huh? :'(

You can get a low sized flashcart fairly cheaply nowadays, a 256MB EZ1 card is $37USD plus shipping at winsunx.com, and will work with the boot menu (just not for burning to the cart). Unless you have a GBA flashcart or adapter, or the coders come up with a way to boot the MK2/3's without using a flashcart (kindof doubtful though) then the MK2 is not of much use. :(
