Title: about duo save files
Post by: jimmyjimmy on January 13, 2006, 03:14:04 AM
Are the duo .dss files basically the same as the .sav files that the neo menu uses? I want to know if i could simply rename a duo save file and use it on my mmc.

Nope, duo .dss (ds saves) and .duc (ds save uncompressed) are both different than normal save files. They have a AR header attached at the beginning that is 500bytes long, and then the raw data after. I made a tool to convert them to 256Kbyte .sav files though ;) and once you drop a dss file onto the app it will make a .out file, which once renamed will work off the MMC card ;)

(I origionally made it for supercard, but its output works with MK2/3 as well)
