I am newbie and have only had my Flash Kit for a week. I figured out how to flash my nds Pac Man World 3 rom to the GBA Cart and it plays fine..but it wont save and I dont know how to save it correctly...can anyone help me out on this...how do I prepare the GBA cart and/or the SD card to be able to do this? ??? Also,I tried backing up my "Super Mario 64 DS" card and the DS shows it as being flashed to the SD card and reaches 100% after about 15 min but then it is shown as 0 mbit and unkown file format?? ??? One more thing is I tried flashing "Pac Man 3" to the MK2/Mk3 and didnt realize that it was too big...how do I remove what flashed to the MK2/3 ??? ???
The software I am using is all the latest...
Menu Version .05 (on the GBA Flash Cart)
Neo Max 1.5 (the latest version)
Neo Power Kit 2.1 (the latest version)
Could someone please help me out here :(

Hi,
I think the saving feature is busted with the latest menu (there aren't any special preparations required for nds roms). It should happen automatically (ask you to create a save file on the SD card when you play another game, for example). Then, when you go back to the original game, it should ask you to load the save file.
I believe there's a bug with Super Mario 64, so it's not backing up correctly to the SD card (wait for the next menu to see if the general backup problems are fixed)
Finally, I think that with menu 0.5, you can just re-flash another item onto the cart (at least with previous menus every time you flashed something it would erase what was there before).
They're adding additional management features (deleting, formatting, etc.) in the next menu.

Hi,thanks for the help and yes you are correct about the MK2/3 actually I overwrote with a bad rom and its now blank...so I guess that resolved that issue 8). As for the saving,I do remember reading that one of the key features is,or will be,real time saving (kind of like how you can do with PC games) and I guess that is how it is supposed to work, which is much better than any in game saving on a Nintendo game. Is there any other or older Neo DS software that will let you do the real time save? The more I have been messing with this the more curious I get...it took me awhile to get the jis of how to use the NEO Max and Power Kit in the PC and getting my Neo XG cart in the Slim Loader to be recognized by the software...which is kind of weird but it works for me...I just plug it in and unplug it about 3 times and boom...it works each time...
Just for future reference,I know a cheat device doesnt exist yet for the DS,(Action Replay just has some bull**** game save thing) but is it possible maybe in the near future that this could be an added feature? I think codebreaker is launching something in March that can be used on the DS

Real Time Saves would be nice, but I am not aware of any implementation of this type of feature on any DS cart yet (mostly because the DS memory is 4MB, which even to SD takes quite a while to write out). I havent seen any plans to add it either, but I could be wrong... maybe a surprise is in store one of these days.
Are you using an extension cable to your Slim loader?
It is possible, but more like that IPS type cheats would be used. I havent seen much in the way of "cheat device" like functionality from the homebrewers and crackers though, aside from that hidden track unlocker for mario kart origional cartridge.

I guess maybe I was wrong on that one...now my question is...how do I save a ds game in its save game menu ???

I am still confused here "It should happen automatically (ask you to create a save file on the SD card when you play another game, for example)" I havent seen this??

yeah, it's broken in menu .5 as I mentioned.... You won't see the appropriate save messages, that popped up in previous menus (though there were still bugs there). Hopefully this will get fixed completely in a future menu (then saving should be automatic and function properly).
The method that's outlined in the FAQ section I wrote is how it's supposed to work ;)
