Title: Saving DS games !PLZ HELP!
Post by: chon on January 21, 2006, 05:01:12 AM
Hi!
I have a MK1, and a 512Mb NeoFlash cart. I can play and save GBA games perfectly with the neo-max's sms save function, but I don't know what to do with DS games. The saving in neo power kit only works with some games, and even with those, only sometimes. I tried to use the Neo-Max's DS loader but I can't play any games with that, when I try to start a DS game, it either gives a message, error loading save, or just nothing happens. Is there any way to save without MK2/3?? SMS saves, like with the GBA games? I dont want to buy another MK... PLZ help!

Currently it is optimized to use the SMS with an SD card in a MK2/3. A bit of patience and perhaps a couple more releases and hopefully SMS can be fully fixed to work with either the cart flash or the SD card with NDS games as well.

Thx for the answer! But in the neo max, when I format my cart I can choose between gba loader and nds loader, and with the nds loader I can uncheck the support of sd/mmc card, and I can choose the size of the sms. So it is  supposed to support the mk1, and sms save, isn't it? Does anybody else have this problem? Or everybody has mk2-3? I dont know why I cant even start a ds game in neomax...

DS game support is not fully functional yet in neomax, as cory mentioned.  I don't know if mk1 will even be supported, as it seems targeted mainly toward neomax carts (and a few others) and the newest magic key technology.

Like I had said, NDS SMS function is not implemented properly unless you are using a MK2/3 and a SD/MMC card. I think it is just a matter of time before they add NDS to the SMS system though.
