Title: DS Save FILES
Post by: kunnalkainth on January 23, 2006, 10:34:37 AM
Does anyone know where to download NDS save files. I have one save file of 'Yu-gi-oh NT.nds.sav' file, but it doesn't seem to work with NPK 2.1 when i go to restore all. Can somebody please help me.

That's because you put the save files on the SD cart

if i put the .sav file on the SD card, than how do i upload that save from the SD card when the game is running from my gba flash card. i tried puting the yugioh game on the sd card, but it says it's too big and besides, it may freeze or lag in game since SD loading times are slower. Can somebody please tell me step by step how to make the yugioh NT.nds.sav file to work on the SD card while i'm running the game from the gba flash card (NEO MAX KIT 512M + 128M)

from 0.4 menu on you can burn the ROM from the SD card to the NeoMax cart. If it doesnt run, and you have been using GST patcher 3.4r to make it work then there currently is no way to backup the save and restore it (without getting technical and giving odd workarounds).

Hi, in case any of this is still confusing....

Neo Power kit just restores the entire contents of SRAM onto the flashcart (and it's not the most reliable saving option).

For NDS, you generally use either the menu software (load your roms onto the SD card), OR the latest GST-patcher (flash a single rom directly to the flashcart).

For the menu software, it creates (or should when it's working right) save files on the SD card, and you can easily backup and restore these files to your PC.  Through the menu software, you can also flash the game to the neomax cart or internal memory to speed things up.

However, when you use the gst-patcher to play a single rom from the flashcart, the save file that gets created there can't be backed up and restored easily.
