Title: Action Replay saves and MK2/3 and Neo Cart
Post by: shark650 on January 24, 2006, 12:48:06 AM
Is it possible to load the AR saves with MK2/3 and Neocart. I'm going to give it a try this evening and see if it works. Oh yeah, has anyone figured out how I can backup Super Mario64 DS. Something happens to it when its copied and shows up as being 0 Mbit and "unknown file"

it is a known bug with supermario and other games containing periods in the header's game name text. It will be fixed in a later revision of the menu.

to use AR saves, you must first take them out of the AR format. They put 500 bytes of header then the raw save data after.

If you use the .dss or .duc files, I made a tool that can transform them for you. You simply have to rename them properly for them to work with whatever you are using it for.

Just a final thought: if you are using the newest version of the Max software, you can save the .dsc files using the little uncompress zip logo in the save manager of that app. It will then ask you where to put it, and will put a .duc (an uncompressed version) where you tell it to.
