I've just done a few tests with a friend and it seems he cannot Download and play any game I play with my Neomax kit, regardless as to wether it's booted directly from the SD, Flash cart or MK3.
Is this a limitation of the MK3, the software or am I doing something wrong?
Also, this friend has a newer model DS (Crashes with yellow screen, doesn't work with NeoMax), could this have anything to do with it?

I don't use wifi myself, but I read on the board a while back about people getting disconnected because the sd card access times were too slow or something. Maybe it's a bug with the current menu that one of the other testers or cory would know more about...

Kushan, is your DS flashme'd? I heard that if one is flashed and the other is not then download/play will not work right... I dont have 2 ds's here to test with though.
-
None of the DS's have been flashed in any way, in fact that was partly why I got the NeoMax kit in the first place, so I didn't have to risk it.
-
Then it is definitely a bug in the patching that is causing download/play to not work. I will let them know about this one (not sure if they have any way to test it either, though I know that other carts had to fix this in the patching)
I cant say it will be a priority to fix this just yet though...

Well I have access to many DS's since a lot of my friends have them (And since I'm a student, they're literally in the room next to mine), so if they need a tester, just give me a shout.
I have access to...
A DS with older firmware (NOT flashed)
Several DS's with newer Firmware (yellow crash screen, not work with Neomax at all)
A Flashme'd DS (v6)

I have left information and a link to this thread for them, they will contact you if they need any testing for it. Like I said, I cant say whether it will be a priority to fix this just yet...

I see it's been a while since this thread has been added to,and I don't think my information actually helps, but 2 DS's with MK3's seem to work well.
Maybe"well"is an exaggeraton,let's say,works fine.
Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it will not download.
Does not seem to be specific to certain games,it just brainwarps sometimes.
I'll try to make sure I have tried different boot methods to check success ratio.

Woops, just saw this
My DS is a firstgen, and its upgraded to FlashMe-7 .. my brothers DS is a firstgen too, and it works fine with netplay here ( I'm using an MK2 ) ... however, my girlfriends DS is a second gen, and it wont download -anything- from my DS ( when running games from the MK2 ) .. original games works fine though
-
my ds is flashed with flashme v7 and i use a mk2 with direct run from sd, friend got a non flashed ds and can play mariokart downloading it from my ds...
-
So sounds like it's basically working, but with various bugs.....

it works, if the person you're sending to has the old firmware, or FlashMe.. appearently not the newer firmware.. ah well :)

Has anyone gotten download play to work with the 6-beta-2 menu? For me download play is one of the key points with the the NDS (perhaps that's why I bought three of them =)

3? lol ;D
It does work, but again.. only if you have flashme on your Ds'es, of if they contain the old firmware ::sm-12.gif::
