Is there any way to dump a nds rom?
-
sure,
Straight from menu 0.5, you can dump original carts to the SD card if you have mk2/mk3. (though I wouldn't rely on that feature right now until they get the bugs figured out)

I can't dump resident evil DS, can the MK3 handle 1gb dumps?
-
not sure about 1 gig roms, but there are significant problems with dumping roms in general that they're hopefully working on resolving these issues...

Im assuming you have the JPN Biohazard cart..? What does it say/do when you try dumping it?
-
Nah I had the USA cart, it sees it as 948MB when I click "A" it gives me a distorted icon and crashed my MK3. It's been backed up now so I am not to in a hurry, this is a great feature if Neoflash can continue to actually support backing up games I know I would be happy. I dumped MKDS no problem besides it getting autotrimmed, PLEASE fix this as I hate hex editing but when I did the same process on my 1 gigabyte (not bit) with RE it just crashed. I am sooo tired good night!

Is there any way to dump the new games with MK2 like Mario Kart or Tony Hawk??I heard about the new menu(0.5) can do that but still buggy.
I would be very pleased if any moderator con post a dumper compatibility list .
Thanks for wasting your time

apparently it is working with the new 1.5 cards, but as far as I can tell it does not give identical dumps to existing ones (SM64DS was the one I tested, 0.6 is gonna fix the name issue but one can still dump it and get it off the SD with a chkdsk /f ) - the last bit of SM64, outside of the DSFS, is null in my dump... oddly enough.
I dont know if/why there is a limit on the dumps at this point. I will pass the info along though so hopefully it can be fixed in a later menu release.
I'll see what I can do right now about making a padder for you, since most arent interested in having useless space used up on their SD/MMC having them not trimmed when dumped would be... well... I think you get it.
Here ya go, no need to break out the hex editor, I put 32mbit (4MB) to 4Gbit (512MB) so it should be "futur proof" enough, but source is included in case it isnt...
