This tool is just a frontend for all the DS tools out there, but it comes with everything you should need and is nice and easy to use :)

if you need to trim your roms you can but its best not to ... and its easyer not to 8)
-
As a matter of fact, trimming them often increases compatibility with the rom and takes up less space.
To "trim" the rom, just unpack it and repack it, you don't need to manually delete anything.
The amount of space you save depends entirely on the ROM itself, but I've seen a 64Mb rom drop to 39Mb.
-
wow thats amazing dident know you chould do that...
so i just need that trim file?
-
Use DSLazy.
With it, just navigate to a Rom and pick "Unpack". Then after it's unpacked the rom (only takes a few seconds) click "Repack". It'll ask you where you want to save the packed rom to. Hey presto, you're done.
It doesn't always help, but I've managed to get a few games working this way that didn't work before.

sweet thanks man

extract the folder in it to wherever you want it (I put it into the programs folder) and make a shortcut to the batch file wherever is handiest for you. I have my shortcut on the desktop.
Grab a copy of your .nds file, and drag it onto the shortcut and it will do all the rebuilding for you, replacing the origional file you dragged onto the shortcut with a rebuilt one. Ill say it again - this will replace the file you dragged onto the batch shortcut - be sure to use a copy wrather than the origional

sweet that sounds a whole lot simpleyer ... lol i suck at spelling ???
-
If you use Firefox, you can get an extension called "Spellbound". I use it because my spelling is appalling, but as you can see it's very good on this forum :)
-
yer maby or i could just use the spell check at the bottom
-
If you could, it would be a great help to everyone on the forum. Especially those whom English isn't their first language.
-
yes but english is my first language and i still suck at it :(
-
To be quite honest, if there is a spell checker available then you don't really have an excuse.
-
There is also this Neo tool that was included with menu 0.2, note that it only trims repeating 0xFF or 0x00 and does not rebuild the file.
-
:o yes i no i use it now :)
also i never knew what that was for but now i dp :)
