Title: hey! how about this!!!

Can't we use the g6 patcher to patch the nds clean dumps by adding the original neoflash code to it??
The g6 DOFAT optimized roms are basically based on the GST patcher.
Isn't it possible. this will increase the compatibility of the neomax carts

I think it would be more practical to wait for the coders to further refine the menu software.  I'm sure there are many avenues remaining as far as increasing rom compatibility, within the constraints imposed by the neo hardware.

After they get done adding all the primary features/functions, I would think they would then focus all their attention on optimization/compatibility/speed issues.

That's a very creative idea, though....

Hehe Samsar, always trying to prod some compatibility out of it.

I dont know if there are enough coders with enough spare time to reverse the G6/M3 kernel to understand why DoFat works (it could be entirely hardware controlled encryption for all I know), while they initially relied on GST rom releases to reveal their patching methods (and also made the GST roms bootable on their G6 and M3 CF devices initially at least), I'd think they learned a few things from understanding those well and made DoFat from what they learned.

I think whatever the menu coders come up with will be more creative then delving into other teams work at such length though...
