ok i have an xg 1gig card and a passme it seems gst fixer is not saving new roms properly .I would like to upgrade but have a few questions ,if i buy mk2/3 do i still need 1gig xg card? how do i burn roms to the mk2/3 card ? will i need a 1gig sd card ?hows does it all really work with the new stuff out give a poor guy a hand thansk

You still need the Flash cart and you'll also need an SD card to get the most out of the MK2/3.
-
Yeah, exactly as Kushan says... though it depends on what kind of XG cart you have. I'm only currently aware that the XG2005 Turbo model, Neoflash, and Neomax carts will flash roms properly (if someone else knows other models that work, I can add them to the FAQ).
So, if you want more detail (probably a LOT more than you would like to know, though it's purposely written like that to address many of the common questions that get asked frequently), see here:

thanks for the info guys im going upgrade, yeah i have an xg 2005 turbo so i should be ok then i have a 256 sd card i use in my digital camera do i need that much ram ?
-
256 would work. Largest rom out there now is probably 128 MB. I got a 1 gig Sandisk on sale in USA for $40, so I have plenty of space for roms and stuff

hey sounds interesting 40$ Why do i still need the xg2005 if the roms go onto the sd card
-
Because the rom compatibility by playing on the sd card is low now (and games that do run have longer loading screens) -- basically a speed issue that still needs to be fixed.
The XG2005 will give you much higher compatibility (and run roms that do work at full speed)

The XG2 Turbo 1gig (not the 2005 version, the one with the old blue usb writer wrather than slimloader) acts the same as a NeoFlash/XG2005 1gig cart so it should work as well.
