Title: Troube with some games
Post by: Outland on March 13, 2006, 04:24:15 AM
Hello all this is my first post so dont blast me to bad.  I have the MK3 1 GB kit and seem to be having issues with certain games.

I am running the .gba .4 menu off the gba card (512 neomax + 128 zip mem though I am still unsure what if any benefit the zip mem has for running .nds roms)

I put the .nds on the sd card and boot, then flash the game I want to the neo max)

I am using Madden 06 as the retail NDS

Thus far I have had 3 games either not boot or has bug issues.

Lunar - locks up randomly - usually during battles and some graphics problems, run at great speed though.

Mario and Luigi - Partners in Time wont boot, get a white then a black screen - seemed to flash just fine

Age of Empires - Same issue as Mario and Luigi

I have even tried the dslazy to unpack and repack as I have found it corrects some issues.

Any ideas?  Sorry if this is a dupe thread I checked as many as I could for the answer.

Thanks!

The very next menu release should help resolve some of your issues.Specifically,Mario and Luigi.
Don,t feel too bad, some people have been waiting a while now.
And it will be soon,i believe.

Sven, there is considerable posting going on in other threads about the new menu, my intention was not to further those discussions I just wanted to make sure I was not doing something wrong.

To be honest I have been using the neo since menu .2 was out and for what I am getting from it thus far I try not to complain all that much.  I can say I would have liked better documentation, a better feel for what this product could do in its infancy and what the focus for future develoments are.

But all in all I think the team is doing a good job and that the MK3 hardware seems to have more potential than some of the other devices out there that people are claiming work at a much higher level.

Sorry all if this post if going to strart another "bitch" fest for software updates.

If it's just certain roms that aren't working, then you are probably doing everything correctly.

Menu .6 should included an expanded 'readme' file as well, to explain all the new functions.  If you want additional documentation/help files, just look in the FAQ section:
