Are DS Commercial carts (i.e. games from the store like castlevania) read-only?
-
Are you trying to dump an original Castlevania cartridge onto your SD card?? If so, it doesn't work because there is a bug in the menu...
Basically, all the ds carts should dump correctly once all the bugs are resolved...

I don't think he was refering to dumping. The actual ROM (Read Only Memory) can't be written to in commercial carts. The only thing however you can write to is the save area.
-
yeah I misinterpreted his post (was still thinking how my Castlevania doesn't dump). As angelfly says, that's the general definition of rom

okay thanks. however you said your castlevanie doesn't dump? i've been able to get mine to.
also, will neo come out with re-writable nds carts? if so, do you know aproxiamtely how long it will take?
-
Yeah, I get an 'error writing file' just a little way into the dumping process..
I haven't heard anything about a rewritable nds cartridge... A higher capacity mk3 should be coming, and then maybe a new neo-flashcart....
