Title: HELP! Lost disc.
Post by: Forte on March 23, 2006, 04:28:51 AM: Now my Slim Loader wont even bring up the new hardware wizard. It just has a solid green light. It was installed on this pc but its not showing up in the software. Help please!

Post by: bruceg on March 23, 2006, 10:46:24 AM: I assume it was working fine before... Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Neo Power Kit software and drivers?? Are you using the latest version of Neo Power Kit (2.3 was just released)??

If you follow cory's guide here, you can verify that all the components are being uninstalled correctly before proceeding with a reinstall of the software.

There is also a registry key you can delete if your device is not being recognized as being compatible with windows, but I am not positive this is the case based on the content of your post (also you have to be VERY careful if you are going to do this)

Post by: bruceg on March 24, 2006, 01:10:06 PM: Yeah, that doesn't sound good since it suddenly stopped working and is no longer detected on any of your pcs. Maybe cory will have a workaround to fix your Slimloader problem, but it's possible that the device may have just failed.

If you have to (only do this f you HAVE TO) open up the slim loader and make sure the USB cable is still connect and hasent broken off or any thing.

Hey... Install the driver manually then if hardware wizard doesn't show..

OR
Clean the usb ncontacts. When i did it to mine it started working

Its a problam with the USB or something, because his computer doesnt detect it/install it/find it.

Post by: cory1492 on March 26, 2006, 08:58:16 PM: It sounds to me too like a problem with the USB connector. I put up a pinout here (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1654.0.html) if you cant exchange it and feel brave enough to rewire it (requires soldering).
