Now my Slim Loader wont even bring up the new hardware wizard. It just has a solid green light. It was installed on this pc but its not showing up in the software. Help please!
-
I assume it was working fine before... Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Neo Power Kit software and drivers?? Are you using the latest version of Neo Power Kit (2.3 was just released)??
If you follow cory's guide here, you can verify that all the components are being uninstalled correctly before proceeding with a reinstall of the software.

There is also a registry key you can delete if your device is not being recognized as being compatible with windows, but I am not positive this is the case based on the content of your post (also you have to be VERY careful if you are going to do this)

Its not recognizing on ANY pc now. The one upstairs worked fine, but then stopped, so I tried on this one, and it doesnt work either.
-
Yeah, that doesn't sound good since it suddenly stopped working and is no longer detected on any of your pcs. Maybe cory will have a workaround to fix your Slimloader problem, but it's possible that the device may have just failed.

thats not good at all :-\
If you have to (only do this f you HAVE TO) open up the slim loader and make sure the USB cable is still connect and hasent broken off or any thing.

I think the bristles in the gba slot may have been damaged..
Hey... Install the driver manually then if hardware wizard doesn't show..
OR
Clean the usb ncontacts. When i did it to mine it started working
-
it wouldent be the GBA slot.
Its a problam with the USB or something, because his computer doesnt detect it/install it/find it.
-
It sounds to me too like a problem with the USB connector. I put up a pinout here (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1654.0.html) if you cant exchange it and feel brave enough to rewire it (requires soldering).
-
If someone could send me the program thats on the cd that installs the slimloader, it might work. I forgot the cd in a school laptop, and they have to many to check. :(
-
lol thats too bad
I'll upload a copy onto www.aussie-play.com (http://www.aussie-play.com) for download.
-

Wasnt there a program on the CD that installed the hardware?
-
umm are you talking about Neo-Max or Neo Power Kit?
-
It was a Neo Power Kit CD, but I remember there being a program specifically for hardware, I could be wrong.
