I put Metroid Zero Mission in my 512 MB Neo flash cart but I cant save. What's wrong. ::sm-05:: Please Help me. :o
-
Try changing the battery
-
But It was new though.
-
if that was your first batery in the GBA flash cart,
you may have handled it too much which means it could be flat,
it is best to hold them of the side only not on the top or bottom.
-
Some of the batteries that come bundled with neoflash products are fairly old and not fully charged (you can test with a voltmeter to verify). Maybe they have been sitting on the store shelves for a long time before being sold...

I dont get it, why the battery. Why does it need the battery to make it save-able.
-
the battery keeps the save "alive" if there was know battery there would be no save
-
I have the same problem!! And i have changed the battery but still i cant save >:( Oh, by the way the game is Animal crossing WW and i got a 512 MB Neo flash cart.
-
Here's my question: Why can't the save be like SD saves, where it auto-saves to the cart?
-
They're thinking about adding a feature to backup gba saves to the SD card, just like with nds roms...
BruceG
-
Ah. And this will come when there is a menu that supports .gba files on the SD card, I'm assuming.
-
I'm not sure of the order of what will be introduced first... The coders have their own work schedule they adhere to....
And this is for the mk2/mk3 menu (sorry if I didn't make that clear before)
BruceG
-
Ah. Makes sense. By my interpretation of what i've read here, the only way a menu would run GBA games would be through an emu. Is that correct, or just my misinterpretation...
-
The menu can't run the gba rom directly from the SD card (gba mode has no access to the ds slot).
It would need to be flashed to the gba cart first... so yeah, you're on the right track ;)

Try changing the battery, or using neoMAX software. That seems to be the solution, but only from what i've read.

ok What Magic Key did you get? Magic Key 1 (included whith the Neo Kit)
or Magic Key 3 (included with the Neo-MAX)
They come with no battery in the GBA cart. You need to pull out the little slot at the top and place one in there. Be carefull not to touch it to much.
-
hi again,
I don´t exacly know which magic key is it, i don´t have it here, I guess is magic key 3 'cos it´s new, anyway I did what you say, I even bought a new battery last weekend with same problem.
No worries, I´ll try to take my money back, too much problems for a quite expensive product. ::sm-16.gif::
Thanks for answer.

If it's a neoflash 512 or 1024 set, then it's an old magic key 1. Since saving is unreliable from the cart, I would personally return it also...
You can wait for the official mk4 announcement. That may turn out to be much easier to use with higher compatibility levels...

I´ll be waiting for mk4
