ok,
you can get your computer to write to the GBA cart so thats good.
You need a program called Neo-MAX then you format the GBA flash cart.
After that you need to write the menu to the GBA flash cart select Add Game.
Find the menu which you should have downloaded from http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.msg12634.html#msg12634 (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.msg12634.html#msg12634)
now flash that menu file to the GBA and select Single Write.
thats all you need to do with the GBA flash cart. ;)

Darkriku,
Listen,I kind of consider myself"pretty good"figuring this kind of stuff out.
I tried to do it with no help, and after three weeks of crying in front of my P.C.,it finally came together.
Then,I started posting here, and realized how much simpler it would have all been if I had asked questions.
Check this post for a simplified, plain spoken method of getting this to work.
http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1980.0.html
If this does not help, ask more questions.Try to provide as much info as to where you are getting to,and someone will help.
Trust me,you did not pay 160 bucks for nothing. You'll see.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I figured out how to post a link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it just moonshell(they sell moonshine here in TN,USA :)),
or will nothing boot for you?
-
I've explained this to him in the past thoroughly.... last time was here:
http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1797.msg11909.html#msg11909
He needs to provide more detail about where he is getting stuck in the process... It sounds like he is trying to flash moonshell onto his cart...
I mentioned that using the neomax loader was the easiest way, since you have the option to add moonshell there, and then just hook everything up, and it should work (though there is no plugin support apparently)

Ok a while i ago i remebered my ds saying there is a gba option pack insterted and now it doesnt i put the Menu on my gba card wrote fine than i formated the sd card with neomax i added a un patched rom burned it and i thought hey maybe tll actually work but i pop it in the old ds it gos the the ds warning logo then white screens it alway does this when i have a sd card in my mk3 i might put a video on you tube if i need to.
-
Don't worry about the option pak notice (it doesn't say that anymore with the latest menu). If you can write the menu to the flashcart using either Neo Power Kit or Neomax (and it says that it was successful), and copy the unpatched rom to your sd card using your sd card reader, then it should work (assuming you have an older firmware).

Ok i know for sure i have the first firmware and i try it Zaku style ::sm-23.gif::
-
Ok i did exactly what you sai i wrote the new menu and burned a un patched rom to sd card nothing still ::sm-02:: ::sm-02:: ::sm-02::

Do you have a neoflash gba cart?? What does the label on your cart say exactly?? You said before you have a 256 M neoflash cart, but I'm not aware of any Neoflash cart of that particular size...
BruceG
-
Its a Neoflash 256Mb one ::sm-09.gif::
-
Are you sure about that?? The neoflash carts generally are only available in 512 and 1024 Mb sizes. Can you provide a link where you purchased it, and show me which one it is?
BruceG
-
http://www.ic2005.com/html/2005/show-18.htm It just has a neoflash sticker on it!
-
This could have been some sort of proto type for GBA carts working with roms on the NDS or something.
Can you provide a picture?
also where did you buy it from?
-
Here they are first is what all i got
(http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e159/Darkriku13/100_1021.jpg)
I just wanted he flash card because i already had a mk3 but ya
heres a closer pic of the flash card
(http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e159/Darkriku13/4c373ed0.jpg)
;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
-
256MB umm where did you get it from?
Did you order a special flash cart?
-
Even if it's a re-labeled XG cart, I would think it would work with neo-software, unless the cart is defective.
Darkriku, when you run the firmware test here, what happens??
http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1565.0.html
Does the DS freeze when you remove the game cartridge?? (that would confirm you do indeed have the original firmware)
Next, download this homebrew file and follow the directions here:
http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1568.msg5149.html#msg5149
If you don't have the Metroid demo, use any original ds game cartridge (except Super Mario 64).
Does the homebrew file flash correctly (does it say burning was successful??)
Can you get this homebrew file to work on your ds??
If not, there may be a problem with your equipment...
BruceG
-
Yes ive tested it also i bought from ict2005.com or something like that . Ill tr y it.
-
can i ask how much you got it for?
-
80 bucks each so ya around tat and i did the test with both Magic keys no worky so i think the cartridge is broken but can i send it back to the neoflash makers not the store for a replacement because i dont want to have to deal with there ****py customer service!!!
-
What do i do with my defective product????
-
umm,
Are you sure its defective?
try GBA Roms with it.
-
fine give some files i need ill try with my old gba!!
-
You need to use Neo Power Kit OR Neomax (I'm asumming you do in fact have a Neoflash/XG compatible cart)
With Neo Power Kit, first double click the gba_mode icon on your desktop. Then Open Neo Power Kit, and 'add' gba roms to your flashcart. Select 'burn all' when done.
With neomax, first format your cart using the 'gba loader' option. Then, 'add' gba roms to your flashcart. Finally, use 'multi-write' to burn them.
Insert your flashcart into your gba slot, but DON'T insert the magic key 3 into the ds slot. Turn on your ds, and run the 'start gba game' from the regular ds menu. It should load a gba menu and let you run the roms if it's working....

-
Congrats on your 700th post but i only get there is a DS option pack inserted!!!
I followed your instructions using the NEO Power Kit.
-
have you tried Neo-MAX?
I think it works better,
I cant get NPK to work so good for me.
-
Well when i try neo max i get so far on the formatting than i get a no cartdridge instered!!!
-
what card type is it?
-
It's supposedly a neoflash cart - 256 MB, but it sounds like a re-labeled XG cart. Even then, I think it should work with Neo Power Kit or neomax. Since it doesn't, it sounds like something might be wrong with the cart after all (since I remember that he basically hasn't gotten anything to work right from the beginning, despite following all the guides)
BruceG
-
Ya i even emailed the guy i bought it from hes in china though and im in america so ya ....
-
but you never answer you can burn one small gba rom to it via NPK or neo-max , then we will know your gba cart is workable or defected,it's so easy to get one confirmation, please tell us now.
-
Nope i just tried AGAIN it does not work thanks tohugh.
-
can't write?
can't burn?
can't play?
can't see nintendo logo?
don't say "can't work" only ::)
-
can write but when i put it back it acts like its never been used .
i can burn it but like i said once tooken out it doesnt show any thing
It cant play
i see nintendo logo. but thats the warning screen.
-
Try useing neo-max but not formating.
see if that works

I looked and neo max doesnt say it any where its a relabled xg2005
you mean can't detect like this screenshot?
-
Card type 16 i think~!!!
-
Card type 16 i think~!!!
great,it can detect the cart type is 16,so it mean the cart is 512M flash +128M zip ram,it seems work.
now try to format the cart(use GBA MODE,don't use NDS MODE),and don't need burn anything inside, just plug it into your console,to see the GBA menu can be show or not?
-
When i try to format gba mode it wont it just never finishes!!!
-
How about using neomax 2.0??? The link is here:
