Title: mk1 gba cart 512Mb problem.
Post by: Knoppix on April 05, 2006, 01:02:45 AM
Hello everybody, i've a 512Mb gba cart on mk1, when i launch neo power kit  i've an error;    This problem comes from a test i make with the compression of a 1024Mb rom (bleach ds). I can see for a little moment in booting NPK that it see it now as a 1024Mb => must be the problem.

Please, have you a way for me like a special program to format the cart or anything else ?

Thanks.

You might try the newest version of the Neo-Max software,here:http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,1871.0.html(forgot how to post a link :))

It will format the cart, whereas the NPK software will not.(I think..)

That should be the end of it,but I'll also mention-

That rom screwed one of my SD cards(for a short time-It made it unreadable to a particular menu version)
I am convinced that rom did the damage, and no one else I know of has had this issue,so it's nice (not nice, but, you know)to hear of someone else with a similar issue.

EDIT-Even just use Neo-Max to format, then go back to NPK if you need to......

No,stick with me a second-
Are you using the slim loader 3 or 4?
It can make a difference.

Also,to go ahead and mention,if you are still on your first battery,(in the cart)you could have drained it handling it initially(I did),and could need to change it.(Shouldn't make a difference, but some strange battery related issues have been reported)

There are other guys here that can possibly help more, but we have to get Neo-max to detect, because I think that will fix your problem.

Changing the battery allowed the cart to be recognized in neomax??  I guess stranger things have happened.....  :D
