Before I bought a DS,I never owned a GBA...I guess I have found time to get more aquainted with the GBA side of the DS... alot of you probably know this...LOL...it seems that GBA games that save EEPROM (for example in my case it is Prince of Persia-SOT) will still have the save game there...but I tried saving in Final Fantasy 4 Advance and it doesnt work because it uses SRAM and appearantly my NEO Cart doesnt support that feature...although it is "advertised" to have that capability...I have never got that feature to work.
I have also figured out my NPK issue...the "Start" "Refresh" on th NPK menu has alot to do with that...WTF.... why doesnt anyone post these simple things??? If the NPK doesnt recognize my cart after refreshing for a long period of time,I just pull the cart out and plug it back in to the Slim Loader III..hit refresh and everything is there... before that..I was unplugging the SL3 and then rei-nserting the card etc..
This might interest some people out there...I plugged my NEO Cart with the multi-rom loader (neoboot) into a GBA gameshark and fired off Prince of Persia and the codes actually worked..I tried the codes for FF4 but they did not work for some reason...must be another (M) code or something that needs to go in there....

One more thing...it seems that after playing a game on the NEO cart. I plug it back into my SL3 and NPK doesnt recognize it now....wtf..I repeated the same steps I did before I have ever played any backups ....... ??? Another sensless aspect of the NEO Cart....

NPK won't recognize my cart, either, when I remove my flashcart from my SL3 (connected), and re-insert it again later... Only way I get it to work is by disconnecting the SL3, re-inserting cart, re-connecting SL3... doing that seems to make it work eventually.

I was doing that for a long time but now it seems to be working doing the refresh thing and just unplugging and plugging in the cart.
