So… it's like an Acekard R.P.G. (with dual memory)? Does it have built-in motion? Will it be a prize for the compo? I think it's awesome. 64 GiB = 8 GB, right?

I see the MicroSD slot, is it non-functional?

MicroSD slot is probally non-functional and only there because they use the same case as the normal r6 uses.

But this is really awesome, a combo of my two most beloved products (the mk5 for it's built in memory, and the R6 for motion sensing).

Wow! as the name suggests, the cart seems a bit extreme! 8gb on a single cart! :) ~sm-37.gif~

Er, motion isn't actually on the feature list… I hope Dr.neo says it is, though.

EDIT: Heh, only moderators have posted, except for me. I guess I'm the only person that's not a mod that spends a lot of time here… I'm not sure if that's good or not.

So your not updating the r6 silver anymore?
It's like a clone no games work on it
and i had to buy it for $90 ::sm-02::

Who said anything about not updating the r6silver?

no motion?

naaaaaahh

so, the "normal" r6 gold with a 8GiB(64 gigabits - neoteam really love big numbers!) micro sd is a good choice yet...

I think there are three R6s now:
R6 Gold: Motion! Uses microSD/microSDHC cards
R6 Silver: No motion… also uses microSD/microSDHC cards.
R6 Xtreme: No motion (?). Uses built-in storage. They weren't specific enough about the math, but I believe it's 64 gigabits (GiB), which translates to 8 gigabytes (GB).

Hm, I wonder what the price is. Anyway for me when you take out the motion sensing from an R6 it loses pretty much all appeal. The compatibility is even now still kind of random and lack of now standard features like auto-reset makes it a kind of a bad card.

Anyway 8GB microSDs are quite cheap nowadays so dunno if this card will be too popular. Also I'd rather like the USB slot on the back so it wouldn't have to be pulled out at all.

i really dont see the point in this one, if u have an r6 gold... its a fair bit more extreme than this... motion for starts. fair enough the "extreme" has built in memory but it is so less appealing than the motion capabilitys. id much rather put my microSD into my r6 gold than even bother with this one. no offence, iv always said neoflash do a really good job but this one just dont cut it in my opinion.

I agree. However… 8GB… whew. That's a lot, or at least it used to be. My first iPod had HALF that (iPod mini 4GB), And my second iPod had twice that (iPod touch 16GB)… and my third has 1/8th (iPod shuffle 1GB)…

Well it's not that much anymore. I had my 8GB microSDHC filled pretty much right after I bought it.

Some don't last that long and I don't play some of them but have them there just in case, still I do delete some to make place for new releases.

Is it really?
Sure, motion is really nice, but it exist in SLOT-2 format.
Built-in memory on the other hand, is extremely nice for all the developers.
It makes it way easier to test your apps and games, and it removes the risk of destroying the memcard-loading spring like some have done.

My point being, motion pak can be added, built-in memory can't.
And the rumble pak (?) is a nice add too cause you do not need the SLOT-2 extension, and therefore it's free for a motion pak.

 :)

Its nice but, i got two complains.
No motion  ~sm-40.gif~
Side usb port is weird. :(

I think i would still stick with the R6 gold. :P

Dr.neo, how much memory EXACTLY, in megabytes, does the Xtreme have? Because if it's as much as I think it is, I'm buying one ASAP.

64 gigabits = 8 gigabytes = 8192 megabytes
am I right?

as neoteam LOVES big numbers, 65536 megabits, or 68719476736 bits :clown:

GB is GigaByte
Gb = Gigabit

I actually did those calculations earlier (see first couple replies), what I'm wondering is about the 256 number. Now, we all know that 256 is the 2^7, and divided by 8 is 32GB. If that was in a DS card, I would be amazed.

Yeah, i was also wondering about that :)

Quote
* Build in 64Gb to 256Gb high speed memory

Does this mean, the are planning a 256Gb version of the Xtreme, i wonder  ::sm-26.gif::

the rumble is over here:

I think i get it now. 64Gb to 256Gb..
The flash memory is 64Gb but it has memcard support so..
Add 192Gb of SDhc and you get your 256Gb...

Still an awesome cart but I keep on thinking about the usbport.  ~sm-43.gif~

I think he's right. Maybe it's like the R.P.G., except super-huge with SDHC (Does the Acekard have it?) support!

Dr.neo, can we get the final word on these two questions?
1. Does it have motion (gyro/accelerometers) built-in?
2. What is the capacity, in bytes (not bits)?

Although I am not NEo himself, I can say the following -

1. It does NOT have any motion sensing capabilities.
2. The 64Gbit version, is equal to 8Gigabytes.
